If you are looking for camping in the South Of France then look no further, here at Camp Du Pylone its
ideally located on the French Riviera, Camp Du Pylone offers everything you need to make your holiday
one to remember. The site can be quiet warm and very relaxed around the latter months but extremely
busy in the height of the season, I would recommend that you book early to avoid any disappointment.

The site itself has its own excellent facilities which include a pizzeria, shop with a variety of local and
named goods, bakery in which you can pre –order your fresh bread and/or croissants, shower blocks
that are located in various places around the site along with this are washing machine facility’s, a
swimming pool in which is supervised throughout the months of July and August with a small cost to
enter of 2 euro’s per day per person, also included with this is a toddler pool. At the other end of the
site is the bar and restaurant that not has the availability to serve take away, (Plat du Jour or a la
carte), within the daytime and evening you will be entertained by various activities which include local
vocal groups. The list is endless, football, table tennis, boules court, volleyball and the local river nearby
where you will see the river bass idling gingerly in the weed beds.

wealth and endless beauty with fascination. In recent years the area has developed immensely but with
everyone’s consideration for the area at the foremost of all minds. Antibes is one of the most famous and beautiful resorts in south-eastern France on the Côte d'Azur,
located in between Nice (20 km) and Cannes (12 km). The possible meaning of its name is “opposite
the point of Nice”, as it lies across the Baie des Anges.
Although Antibes is the proper name of the town it is often referred to as Antibes – Juan-les-Pins. It is
a seaside resort and night-life area of sandy beaches, boutiques, night clubs and casino. There are 25
kilometres of coastline.

the southern peninsula of the town. It is an immense park that is home to a number of millionaires
chateau and dream residences and Hotel du Cap, still one of the most exclusive and expensive hotels in

Transport
Buses are very good, especially out of season; you will find them all air conditioned, friendly, and are
regularly slower in the summer. No late night runs with the exception in the high season months to
Antibes? Ask for Place de Gaulle (Be prepared to pay the driver about 1 euro each - change given.
Prices have gone down!) You will need to get off when it stops in a big square in the middle of Antibes.

Catch the No 200 bus that runs past the site, every 20 minutes (or there a bout’s), between Cannes www.rivierafrance.co.uk/cannes.htm and Nice www.rivierafrance.co.uk/nice.htm every 30 minutes Sundays
and bank holidays.
Bus number 10 bus goes from Antibes www.rivierafrance.co.uk/antibes.htm , past the site and up to Biot
www.rivierafrance.co.uk/biot.htm and Valbonne www.rivierafrance.co.uk/valbonne.htm. A beautiful

Bus number 23 goes from Antibes www.rivierafrance.co.uk/antibes.htm past the site and on to
Villeneuve Loubet www.rivierafrance.co.uk/villeneuveloubet.htm and a little way beyond to Colle sur
Loup.
Stop Press: The buses all charge 1 euro
Taxis, No No No absolutely not unless you are minted! They’re modern Mercedes with large fuel
consumptions along with the drivers demands, they will take a mortgage to run and very expensive to
travel about in!
Best bet is to have a word with the security people on the gate of the site; they may be able to help
with late night runs in and out of the local night spots at reasonable prices. You’ll need to keep this
under your hat though ☺
If there are a few of you, it may be an option, but, negotiate the price before you get in and watch out
for ROT*.
*Rip Off Tax - like VAT (TVA in France, as they're dyslexic) but more expensive. However this is not as
expensive as ROTT**.

Car hire is easy from the airport. Expect to pay around £150 per week.

trust no one, I would suggest if you do choose to use this facility then a good idea would be to use a
digital camera, take some snaps of the car from all sides before you sign for the hire of it, this is so that
any damages identified beforehand can be agreed, when you return it to their compound they won’t be
able to try and gain additional costs as you will have evidence if there is a different representative.

Trains are great - speedy, regular in summer but long siestas at times. Local trains stop at every station
most of the time. Check this out they can even run at night, you will need keep an eye on the
timetables, see below

A Typical train fare 1.50 euro’s Antibes or 18 euro's to Ventimille. Hint - get a single ('simple'
(pronounced 'sarmp le' in French) as you may want to come back a different way and a return ('Aller et
retour' pronounced 'al eh eh ru tour') is just twice the price of a single.

Hire a bicycle on site or go here for motorbikes or pedals. If you are in need of a sole relaxing holiday then
you have the opportunity to hire either a electric bike or car from Ecolook which is about half a mile from
the site. Ducati motorcycles with if you choose whilst on holiday are here. As always beware of the small
