Downtown Denver New to Public Art
Downtown Denver
New to Public Art
Public Art
Phonecasts
Downtown Denver is alive with public art. Take a stroll down any street
and you will be amazed by the quantity and quality of art you encounter.
Want to learn more about some of the artworks
you see in this guide?
There are over 100 public artworks waiting to be seen, heard and
experienced on the streets and in buildings and parks downtown.
Each work is a unique experience for the senses.
Denver’s Public Art Program is offering Public Art
Phonecasts of our most popular artworks. From any
phone, dial 1-877-336-2787 (1-877-DEN-ARTS) and
the extension listed below to hear short interviews
with the artists talking about their work. Look for
more phonecasts coming soon!
Walk underneath the Dancers (23k) and dance to the original music
composed by artist Jonathan Borofsky to accompany the sculpture.
Pause along Curtis Street and observe the reactions of unsuspecting
passersby as they activate Jim Green’s Soundwalk (25), or be still
and meditate on Sol LeWitt’s sublime Untitled (30) for the GSA
Federal Courthouse.
