I CAN DO EVERYTHING THROUGH HIM
We hear those words applied to everything from football to politics —
“I can do everything through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
While God surely blesses His own people and their righteous endeavors,
Paul never intended his statement to cover common, everyday interests and
activities. He meant that by God’s help, we can endure all circumstances we face,
and that we can completed the work God has given us to do.
We should seek to find legitimate, modern applications for this popular passage.
WE CAN SURVIVE EITHER POVERTY OR PROSPERITY.
Philippians 4:12-13
WE CAN SERVE GOD WHETHER FREE OR CONFINED.
Acts 28:30-31
WE CAN ENDURE PERSECUTION.
Matthew 5:10-12
WE CAN DEAL WITH POOR HEALTH.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
WE CAN ACCEPT THE LOSS OF LOVED ONES.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
WE CAN FACE TEMPTATION.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13
WE CAN BE MORE FAITHFUL.
Revelation 2:10
