Hong Kong University
SPACE students
visited Nina Fossil Garden
and Nina Tower
5 staff from Architectural Services Section
and Cost and Quality control Section have
attended the “Hong Kong BIM (Building
Information Modeling) conference 2011”
held by Hong Kong Institution of Building
Information Modeling on 25 Nov 2011.
One of the functions of BIM is to facilitate
sustainable design (e.g., building form
analysis, CFD modeling for microclimate,
energy modeling, daylight analysis, etc.)
Our first project, Asian House, has
commenced to apply BIM in the design
process. There is plan to apply BIM into
other projects in the future to enhance the
green design.
on Nov 29th, 2011
A Visit was organized for the students to better understand Chinachem Group’s green initiatives. During the visit, they were
introduced to the green features in the Nina Towers like the electric vehicle charging station and the fossil garden. Cost &
Quality Control Section has provided a presentation on company’s green development, green buildings standards, CCG’s
corporate social responsibility and other green activities that have been organized. It has been a valuable visit which our
group contributed to the community by raising student awareness on green development.
