MATERIALS
Krylon® Dual® Superbond®
Gloss White (post)
Satin Hunter Green (mailbox)
Drop cloth
Painter’s tape
INSTRUCTIONS
Tack cloth
Remove mailbox from post.
Screwdriver
MAILBOX:
All-purpose cleaner
Medium grit sandpaper
or wire brush (optional)

Wrap mailbox flag with painter’s tape
to protect it from the paint.

Using an all-purpose cleaner, thoroughly clean
the mailbox to remove dirt, oils and dust. Rinse
thoroughly with water and allow mailbox to dry.

If paint or rust is flaking off the surface, use a wire
brush or sandpaper to remove it. Wipe clean.

Applying in a well-ventilated area, hold can of
Krylon Dual Superbond Satin Hunter Green 6-8
inches from the surface and paint using a sweeping
side-to-side motion with slight overlap.

Allow paint to dry for 30-60 seconds.

Continue to apply light, multiple coats,
waiting 30-60 seconds between each, until
you are satisfied with the appearance.

Make sure the mailbox is completely dry before
you remove the painter’s tape from the flag.
POST:

Wash the post with an all-purpose cleaner to remove dirt
and debris. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow to dry.

Applying in a well-ventilated area, hold can of
Krylon Dual Superbond Gloss White 6-8 inches
from the surface and paint using a sweeping
side-to-side motion with slight overlap.

Krylon Dual Superbond dries in 25 minutes or less, and can be handled in about one hour.

You may wish to wait a few hours before reattaching the mailbox to the post.
