 PRESS RELEASE
Kelly Wearstler: Curiosities
Wednesday, November 6 – Wednesday, November 13
Online auction house Paddle8 is pleased to present Kelly Wearstler: Curiosities, an auction of
design, art, vintage fashion, and jewelry curated by design maven Kelly Wearstler. The sale
features Wearstler's signature mix of graphic patterns, Hollywood glamour, Surrealism, and
luxe materials. The eclectic works span more than a century—from a lavish 1975 Alexander
Calder exhibition catalogue to a pair of ribbon chairs by Leonardi & Stagi, from a gold
Victorian locket to a vintage Gucci scarf, as well as design and fashion from Wearstler’s own
lines—all united by her gilded, textured vision.
Kelly Wearstler: Curiosities is co-organized by
Whitewall Magazine, which will feature Kelly in its
winter issue.
Bidding opens on Wednesday, November 6 at 10 AM
EST, and closes Wednesday, November 13 at 6 PM EST at
paddle8.com/auctions/wearstler.

A Fabio Lenci glass and leather chair (estimate: $8,000–

A beautiful and confident sculpted chair by Italian

select the perfect combination to adorn one of her boxes.

A dramatic piece with a black-and-white zebra print that echoes the animal patterns that
Wearstler frequently features in her interiors.

A unique occasional table inspired by Kelly's continuing interest in Surrealist design figurative
decor. Each double hand is cast in bronze and meticulously finished by hand. The tempered

numbered by Kelly and limited to an Edition of 25.

About Kelly Wearstler
Kelly Wearstler is a world-renowned arbiter of style who has captured our collective
imaginations through her dynamic interior design projects, and her ready-to-wear, jewelry
and accessories collections. She has been widely celebrated in the media for her visionary
work, brought to life through her fearless use of vibrant color, and unexpected textural
juxtapositions. In the Fall of 2011, Wearstler opened her first free standing boutique, located
in Los Angeles on a chic stretch of Melrose Avenue. The Flagship boutique, with its brass metal
awnings and door handles set with pyrite, rock crystal and onyx stones, is itself a showpiece,
having benefitted from Wearstler’s singular vision. The boutique houses within its patinaed
herringbone ivory wood walls, Wearstler’s ready-to-wear collection, alongside a small,
carefully considered selection of home accessories. Wearstler’s ready-to-wear, jewelry and
accessories collections are also available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Net-APorter. kellywearstler.com (Portrait by Mark Edward Harris.)
