The Chamber held our sold out Nite of Stars Gala on Friday, December 7 at the
Detrick Auditorium at Christian Hospital Northeast. We would like to thank our

CHAMBER “HAPPENINGS AROUND TOWN”
Our December Business After Hours was held at the Black Jack Fire Protection District. Firefighters from all
three stations were on hand for equipment and safety demonstrations for our members and their guests. As a
special treat search & rescue dog Cole and his firefighter handler demonstrated search and rescue techniques.
Congratulations to our seven winners of the cash prize drawings at our Nite of Stars Holiday Gala. Dick
Cerame & Sydney Reddick, $250; Monique Zykan & Dan Boyle, $500; Dick Cerame & Grace Zykan, $500
and our $2,500 drawing winner Mary Otto.
Thank you to our December meeting sponsors Ameriprise Financial and H&R Block, our guest speakers Craig
Kaintz & Bill Kasalko and all of the members and guests that attended the luncheon. The Chamber also
presented plaques to new members Jessie Salamone with Hoods Discount Home Center (referred by Elizabeth
Wade of Pulaski Bank) and Joel Vincent with (AOS) Alexander Open Systems.

Chairwoman’s Message
I’d like to send out a very heartfelt THANK YOU to the many people who made our 2012 Nite of Stars such a success. We were blessed with many generous
sponsors, donors and attendees, not to mention the committee, who worked hard
to put this event together. It’s impossible to list all of these people in such a limited space, so please know how much we appreciate the support you all showed. Mark your
calendars now, because December 6, 2013, will be here before you know it, and we’ll be celebrating once again.
2012 was a year of growth toward an even stronger tomorrow. Our Chamber’s future is bright. I know that if we all continue to help each other and grow our relationships and businesses by
“Shopping Chamber First,” then 2013 is sure to be our best year yet.
