►Business aircraft overall sold on average 48 days (-9.2%) more quickly (472 days) during the first four
months of 2016 versus the same time one year ago (520 days), which was 32 days (-6.7%) faster than
2014. The time that jets were available for sale dropped 9.9 percent from 466 to 420 days (-46 days),
continuing the downward trend from 521 days (-11.5%) in 2014. Turboprops’ average days on the market
lowered by 54 to 468 from 522 for a 10.3 percent reduction, a substantial improvement over the only two
fewer days (0.1%) required in 2014.
►Total transactions dropped 5.5 percent (-92 aircraft) from 1,677 to 1,585 for the January through April
time period this year versus 2015, which was down 5.4 percent (-111) from 2014. New jet transactions
declined 28 (-17.6%) from 159 to 131, while used jets lowered 0.1 percent (-1) to 904 from 905. New
turboprop sales decreased 30 (-30.6%) to 68 from 98, which was up one from 2014. Used turboprop
aircraft purchases reduced 33 (-6.4%), going from 515 to 482, down 31 (-5.5%) from 2014.
►The 86 aircraft tracked ranged from 22 fewer units (Lear 35A) for sale to 15 additional (Hawker 800XP).
Inventory declines were logged by 24 models while 54 saw additional units become available. Eight
models were unchanged. Hawker 900XP recorded the greatest inventory percentage increase (156)
while the Falcon 900EX EASy registered the largest decrease (43.0%). There were 169 additional
aircraft for sale.
►Market values of the 86 aircraft tracked increased on 15 models and decreased on the other 71. Average
Asking Prices ranged from an increase of 28.8 percent for the Quest KODIAK 100 to a 27.0 percent
decrease logged by the Gulfstream G280.
►In a moderate change from the Fall 2015 issue, 54 (up from 45) of the 86 models tracked had their
Average Asking Prices move in the opposite direction of the number on the market that could be
purchased. Of the remaining 32 aircraft, seven saw both aircraft on the market and Average Asking
Prices increase while 17 had both figures decrease. Finally, eight aircraft had no change in the number
for sale, yet market value increased for one and decreased on seven.

Learjet Market Value Drops Despite Very Small
Inventory Increase.
Only one (+10.0%) additional Learjet was available, yet
the group’s average market value dropped 16.1 percent.
Aircraft for sale ranged from an increase of 57 percent
(40XR) to a decrease of 39 percent (35A and 60XR).
Average Asking Price on each model was lower, going
from a 9.6 percent decline (31A) to a drop of 21.0 percent
for the Lear 45.
All Bombardier aircraft in each of their three product
lines had lower Average Asking Prices, despite several
having fewer for sale. Availability increased on 11
models, dropped on six, and was unchanged on three.
Bombardier incurred the largest percentage drop in
market value of all OEMs.
