A Picture from last year’s Halloween meeting….
Our next meeting of IPMS Tidewater will be on the first Friday of October—the 2nd.
As usual we will be meeting at 6:30pm at the Virginia Air and Space Center
(www.vasc.org) but feel free to come a bit early to chat.
We will be switching out the models in the case - to what I don’t remember so if
someone could remind me I would appreciate it.
Joe Koenig will cover any pressing business dressed as Benny Hill.
The demo for this month is everyone will show each other their tools...wait, I mean
their favorite tool ….dammit, their special tool…...best dishwasher safe tool…..too
many dirty jokes…..can’t process information…..rebooting…..
Sorry about that, everyone should bring a tool that they made themselves for building
models - we will then talk about our tools, demonstrate their use and pass them
around.
Congrats to Dennis for being
erected by an impish secretary! ...what?....Oh, OK…..
Show n’ Tell will follow after we have all had a cigarette and a shower under the strict
time limits enforced by being forced to listen to political ads for the next year (wait,
isn’t that all of us?). After our show n’ tell where everyone shares their current and
completed projects we will have our monthly raffle, presided over by raffle master
Scott.
Congrats to Dennis for being
elected IPMS Secretary
What happens when the editor has no content
So, I have no articles for this month’s newsletter. Nothing. Squat. Bubkis. Jack Schitt. Don’t despair though
because thanks to David O. Garcia we have some old pictures to look at. So consider this a trip to an old relative’s house when you were a kid - sitting through a boring slideshow. So, we will now have Dammit Bob
pick out the pictures at random for us:
Dammit Bob!
The editor checking the sex of a German Bomber - the
bomb bay was open so it is female …...
Hank stole this bike at an airshow because he was tired of walking...
An old holiday card from Scott that lead
to a restraining order and a chimney
cleaning...
For years John Kelly would attend airshows with his models in tow
in the vain hope that he would meet hot women and impress them
with his rigging skills
A meeting at Denbigh Hobby
- since Bill’s hair isn’t grey
yet this must be from 1922
Who farted?
The February male breast exam meeting in ‘02
was thankfully never repeated
Lynn rocking the hipster beard on
his pre-tinder profile picture.
Bill selling Viagra and model kits from the parking
lot...
The 2008 Nationals “Kissing Booth “ failed to
raise much money, but Charles considered it
the highlight of the convention….
