What’s New at the
Walt Disney
World® Resort
Visit the New Fantasyland ®.
The largest expansion at the Magic Kingdom®
Park since it opened in 1971, Fantasyland®
has nearly doubled in size with the addition
of two new themed areas that bring Disney
classic animated stories to life.
Storybook Circus is designed after a
1940’s–era circus with main attractions
including the all-new “Dumbo the Flying
Elephant,” which is twice the size of the previous
ride; and “The Barnstormer” featuring the Great
Goofini, a roller coaster featuring Goofy.
The Enchanted Forest is a majestically
landscaped area including roaring waterfalls
and royal castles. Here you’ll find Prince Eric’s
Castle, where guests climb aboard a clamshell
to experience “Under the Sea – Journey of the
Little Mermaid,” and then can visit Maurice’s
workshop to hear “Enchanted Tales with Belle.”

AAA’s Top Recommended Experiences
Become a Pirate
Join The Pirates
League in the
Magic Kingdom®
Park, where you’ll
select a pirate
style and receive
a makeover and
training from the
League’s veteran
pirates. It takes
about an hour and
reservations are
accepted up to 180
days in advance
for an appointment
between 9 a.m. and
4 p.m. Get a new name, learn some swashbuckling
maneuvers and then enter the Secret Room where
your Pirate Portrait will be taken before you march in
6
the Adventureland® Pirate Parade. Later that night,
experience the Pirates and Pals Fireworks
Voyage, a sailing along the Seven Seas Lagoon
in front of the Magic Kingdom®. Meet your crew at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort where Captain Hook
and the bumbling Mr. Smee are waiting to give
you a proper send-off. Sail out into the Lagoon to
watch the Magic Kingdom® Fireworks, followed on
select nights by one of Disney’s hidden gems – the
Electrical Water Pageant, a short parade of lighted,
animated, musical boats that sails across the lagoon
right after the fireworks end.
End your pirate’s day by staying at Disney’s
Caribbean Beach Resort in one of the new
pirate themed rooms, featuring ship-style beds and
pirate décor. Your AAA travel agent can help you
with reservations for the Pirates League and the
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, and of course
for Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

Become a Princess
Start off with a visit
to the Bibbidi
Bobbidi Boutique
in the Magic
Kingdom® Park,
or at Downtown
Disney. Bibbidi
Bobbidi Boutique is
a charming beauty
salon where young
guests are magically
transformed into
little princesses and
knights by Cinderella’s
Godmothers-intraining. Guests can
choose from three hairstyles – Fairytale Princess,
Disney Diva and Pop Princess – as well as nail color,
make-up, costume and photographs.
As to Disney artwork and properties: ©Disney
After her magical transformation, take your princess
over to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort &
Spa for the Wonderland Tea Party. This funfilled hour of magical madness with characters from
Wonderland® includes stories, hands-on games, crafts,
cupcakes and “tea” (apple juice) in a lovely Victorian
setting. Later that evening, consider three great dinner
options for your princess – Cinderella’s Happily Ever
After Dinner Buffet at 1900 Park Fare Restaurant; the
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot®, or Cinderella’s
Royal Table at her castle in the Magic Kingdom®.
The perfect way to end the night is to return to
your Royal Guest themed room at Disney’s Port
Orleans Resort-Riverside, where your princess can
watch “fireworks” swirl above the ornate bed and
then curl up in custom linens good enough for royalty.
The perfect ending to your family’s fairy tale! AAA
recommends advance reservations for these popular
Princess experiences.

AAA’s Top Recommended Experiences
Get Your Golf On
You may be surprised
to learn that the
Walt Disney World®
Resort is home to
five prestigious golf
courses, designed
to take advantage
of Central Florida’s
natural beauty with
lush rolling greens
and sparkling water
hazards.
Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course –
One of the few courses that have hosted PGA Tour,
LPGA Tour and USGA events.
Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course – The
course design incorporates the area’s natural
beauty with challenging water features.
8
Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course – A
Certified Audubon Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary,
this course was design by Tom Fazio and
recognized by Golf Digest as one of Florida’s best
at 4½ stars.
Disney’s Palm Golf Course – A distinctive
playing experience with water and woods; as you
play, you may encounter deer and other wildlife.
Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course – Designed
for families to enjoy, this course is ideal if
you’re seeking a casual 9-hole stroll in a natural
environment.
All Walt Disney World® Resorts offer transfers to
any of these courses. All courses feature carts with
GPS technology. And, when you purchase a nondiscounted round of golf, you get complimentary
golf club rental. Ask your AAA travel agent for more
information and the closest Disney resort to the courses
so you can maximize your time on the greens.

Seaworthy Adventures*
There’s no shortage
of things to do on
or around the water
in central Florida.
You can explore the
famed waterways
at the Walt Disney
World® Resort with a variety of watercraft rentals,
including Sea Raycers, sailboats, pedal boats,
canoes, and even an 18-person chartered yacht
for special occasions. Try your hand at catch
and release or dockside fishing. Embark on a
guided excursion along Bay Lake and Seven Seas
Lagoon. Water ski with world-caliber instructors,
take flight via parasail, or hang onto an inner tube
for a wet and wild ride.
If you’re interested in activities under the sea,
experience the three-hour Dolphins in Depth
tour at The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion
(located at Epcot®), where you can get up close
and personal with Disney’s dolphins and their
trainers. Swim with more than 6,000 sea creatures
including sea turtles, angelfish, eagle rays and
sharks in a 5.7- million-gallon saltwater tank on
the Seas Aqua Tour. The supplied-air snorkel
system is simple to use and the equipment keeps
you floating on the surface, watching the tranquil
sea life below. The 2.5-hour experience includes
30 minutes in the massive Caribbean Coral Reef
aquarium – which until 2005 was the largest
saltwater tank in the world.
If you’re scuba certified, you can experience
Epcot® DiveQuest, a three-hour experience
with about 40 minutes underwater. With its clear
water and lack of currents, Epcot DiveQuest is an
experience that both diving enthusiasts and Disney
fans will never forget.
Where else in the world can you swim with sharks
and sea turtles while simultaneously waving to
people enjoying a sit-down meal? Reservations are
required so talk to your AAA travel agent and start
planning today.

Disney, from snacks to casual quick
service dining to elegant Disney

Disney dining venues
are part of the magical

the best restaurants,
and there are many
ways you can save on

as part of your vacation package, and save up
to 20% compared to buying meals at the parks.
Reservations for Disney table service restaurants
can be made up to 180 days in advance
and are strongly recommended, especially at
Character Dining venues.

interesting ways to enjoy a meal at Disney. For

Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios® with an
Imagineer in a group limited to 10 people, and ask
about all the “behind the scenes” things you’ve always
wanted to know. The newest dining experiences are
at New Fantasyland®, including Gaston’s Tavern,
with its signature drink LeFou’s Brew (frozen apple
juice with toasted marshmallow topped with passion
fruit-mango foam); and Be Our Guest Restaurant, by

restaurant serving French-inspired cuisine to more than
500 guests.
