to flexibility and development
The company R.P. RIVESTIMENTI PLASTICI S.R.L., was established in
1986 and has placed its roots in tradition and the experience gained since the
seventies in a family-owned company that already dealt in laminating metal
supports and related details.
From the beginning the professionalism and tenacity of the owners and
workers have characterised the company, allowing it to gradually establish
itself on the market.
The growth started in the early nineties when the numerous processes were
separated, the human resources strengthened, the technical resources increased
progressively leading to an improved distribution and specialisation of the
work, as well as the consolidation of the trade process and management
control.
Today R.P. RIVESTIMENTI PLASTICI S.R.L., operates in various production
areas which range from the metal and mechanical sector with relevant
activities in the nautical and aeronautics sector as well as those for funerary
structures, exploiting the advantageous properties of plastic materials and their
applications, as well and the particular technical innovations developed within
the company.
A firm consistency and operational flexibility, always ready for new
transformations lead to the presentation on the market of a totally innovative
product: a modular technologically advanced structure that revolutionises and
replaces the traditional reinforced concrete structure and that is based on the
patent of a construction system that is lightweight and easy to assemble as
well as on an in depth research of materials that are remarkably ecological and
resistant.
THE CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
Light Prefabricated Cell Structure
is a new RP patent
(patent pending)
THE MODULAR CELL SYSTEM
as the basis of an easy assembly construction system with
safe and reliable results and anti-seismic characteristics
This innovative system is widely used in the cemetery building sector for the
construction of burial recesses, family tombs, charnel houses and cinerariums.
Each structure used to house the remains of an individual (body, bones, ashes),
is constructed through the assembly of a set of components, using a unique and
practical method, in application of a modular principle with a result that is safe
and reliable over time.
The assembly of the modular structures is executed with overlapping shelves,
assembling parallel and mechanically interconnected levels, starting from the
shelf base, resting on the foundation, up to the highest one. The number of
levels in height is fixed by the work project.
The building procedure of each shelf is conceptually identical and results
as being simple and immediate. It is, however, facilitated and supported by
specific instructions developed by the manufacturer.
The prefabricated modular structure is built with a technical-constructive
setting analogous or similar for all types of burial, the only differences can be
found in the size of the cells.
The assembly is possible thanks to the innovative mechanical connection
system between the parts and a series of technical components that facilitate
the construction.
The modules are designed for the outer coating with visible natural stone
(marble or granite), for the electrical connections and for further installations
of funeral ornaments that can enrich the finished work and ensure aesthetic
excellence.
THE STRUCTURE
Description of the Light
Prefabricated Cell Structure
for burial recesses
OUR PATENT FOR BURIAL RECESSES
from an idea, a new reality applied
to the funerary sector
“Light Prefabricated Cell Structure” for burial recesses is a lightweight
prefabricated structure, easy to assemble and resistant both to atmospheric
agents and mechanical loads (technical specs available upon request). In fact it
is a structure that allows different types of applications, but is privileged in the
funeral sector with reduced production and work costs.
In the specific case of burial recesses, gas and liquids generated by the
decomposition of the corpses make up an additional aggressive agent against
which the structure is well protected.
The structure consists of modular panels made of two halves sealed together
by means of sheets of cardboard honeycomb with the function of heat or sound
insulation. Their main function is to avoid gas or liquid leaks. In this regard
laboratory tests were performed in order to obtain the approval of the gas
pressure and resistance to aggressive organic liquids.
The elements are made of galvanized steel and covered with a plastic anticorrosive polyamide layer “RILSAN ® ESY” applied using electrostatic guns.
The modules have shaped edges so that in the assembly, the panels affixed
crosswise or perpendicular to each other, they are adjacent and can be attached
using a special clamp.
In the case of the assembly of 4 panels (crosswise), a special
octagon shaped buffer is then inserted made of polymeric
material.
To anchor the structure to the ground, during assembly, a
concrete base is prepared in which studs or other connecting
elements are inserted which couple with the lower cells of the
same.
The structure of the burial recesses is mounted with a slight
slope of 2° towards the lower part.
The standard internal dimensions of each burial recess are:
750 x 700 x 2250 (width x height x length). The width can be
increased up to 800 mm on request.
The partition wall between the two burial recesses measures 40
mm in width.
At the request of the cemetery a drain can be applied to the back
lower part for recovery of cadaver liquids and an exhaust valve
at the top to expel the gases.
Structure reinforced with HE 140 mm beams to support
the top (e.g. stone slabs)
For the external finishing panels of stone or marble slabs can be
used next to the frontal slabs and fixed to the cells using studs so
as to create a gap to allow the passage of any electrical wires or
tubes to expel the gases.

CHARNEL HOUSES AND CINERARIUMS
in response to the success of our other products,
we have broadened our offer
A cemetery charnel house is a building structure made up of charnel cells,
each of which can accommodate boxes of bones from disinterment and
exhumations.
The above-mentioned structure is built with the “Light Prefabricated Cell
Structure” system, a light prefabricated module made of drawn aluminium
patented by us with galvanised steel joints and covered with “RILSAN ®
ESY”, easy to assemble, weather resistant and with reduced production and
work costs.
This innovative system does not require cement works and, thanks to the
modularity, allows for simple and fast assembly that can be carried out even
by only two workers; moreover, the final layout, given that is it made up of
modules, allows exploiting the available internal and eternal space.
Waterproofing is guaranteed for charnel houses built outdoors and even
heavier roofs can be installed, such as those made of marble and slate.
In cemeteries with cremation facilities, the Cemetery Plan must include a
building called a cinerarium, made up of cells for the keeping of the urns.
The composition of prefabricated modular cinerariums is built using a
innovative and economic system consisting of the assembly of plastic panels
(POLMIX L9045), weather resistant, waterproof and ready for the installation
of coverings (marble and slate).
Moreover, this type of structure, with lightweight and resistant components,
makes assembly possible both on-site and on company premises. With such a
system it is possible to bring an already assembled cinerarium on-site.
Fittings for glass doors that allow the placement of the funeral furnishings
indoors are available for indoor structures.

PRACTICALITY, SIMPLICITY
and much more: the points in favour
of the Light Prefabricated Cell Structure
The product has numerous benefits, both under a technical and economic
profile: in fact it has improved characteristics both with respect to traditionally
built structures, and with respect to state of the art modular structures.
• Practical and easy to install: for the assembly of the module no special
equipment different from ordinary and simple hand tools or special
materials in addition to those already included in the kit are required. Given
the simplicity and uniqueness of the construction, assembly requires no
special expertise by the operators in charge. These aspects translate into a
significant reduction of installation costs and the absence of assembly errors
on behalf of the workers;
• less interference with adjacent structures and areas in the preparation stage
of the modules;
• speed of assembly in comparison with existing systems;
• high level of standardisation of the construction process. The production
process of the module is in fact in itself apt to guarantee the conformity of
the application and to achieve the expected performance levels and already
reported upon entrance into the market;
• versatility connected to its modular characteristic;
• good resistance to seismic events, given the structural conformation and the
connection method between the component parts;
• duration over time, given its resistance to atmospheric agents, the
aggression of chemicals and mechanical stresses;
• environmental sustainability relevant to materials used as well as its
re-usability.
