JEREMY GRIFFITH
Rochester, NY
Medium: Glass
By focusing on the transparency and fluidity of molten glass,
Jeremy and his wife Chelsea create work that represents the
look and feeling of what the glass is like when it is hot. Scale,
color, and motion are always considered. Jeremy and Chelsea
Griffith opened their glass studio in Rochester, NY after graduating
from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2010. Known for
art pieces with fluid multi-colored patterns in the ‘Impasto Swirl’
series and organic forms in the ‘Nature’ series; Jeremy and
Chelsea also design with a nod to humor in the ‘Wobble Vase’.

BEST IN SHOW 2014
2ND PLACE 2014
JOHN MASCOLL
Safety Harbor, FL Medium: Wood
Choosing wood as a creative medium was natural for John Mascoll. He discovered at a very young age a love for working with various types of wood. His
work explores the seemingly infinite variety of shapes and forms that allow the
natural beauty of the wood to be reflected aesthetically in the vessels he creates. The works he creates are one-of-a-kind, hollow-formed lidded vessels
with an emphasis on form and balance. All works are created utilizing a lathe
and various specialty hand tools. Some works include the process of specialized bleaching, staining and etching that further enhance the beauty of the wood.
3RD PLACE 2014
JORGE CALIGIURI
Philadelphia, PA Medium: Mixed Media 2D
Jorge Caligiuri strives to create a simple visual experience working with ordinary
elements: strips, dots, texture and light that deal with the element of repetition,
geometry and gesture. The tension between simple elements in precarious balance creates a powerful sense of movement from depth to surface. Jorge’s work
explores the variety of patterns created by nature in the micro and macrocosm
using texture and simplicity. He incorporates the art of fresco making into his creations making him one of the few artists in the US currently using this technique.
THINK BIG.
