We understand that 1) non-resident students are required to re-apply each year; 2) placement is on a space available
basis; 3) transportation is the responsibility of the parent; 4) non-resident students approved for admission will be
subject to the same fees as students residing within the district; 5) non-resident students who have been approved
must be enrolled and attending prior to September 20 of any given year; 6) the district has the right to revoke any
non-resident admission if, and when, such action is determined to be in the best interest of the student or school
district; 7) approval of this request may affect the student’s interscholastic eligibility as regulated by the Kansas State
High School Activities Association (KSHSAA); and 8) the district will be checking with administration from the
student’s current school. (See USD 458 Board of Education policy JBC - Enrollment, subsection titled Non-Resident
Students.)
