It’s a new month, a new year and we have a new Workshop issue for
you! This January Workshop is jam packed full of inspiration that is
sure to get your creative fingers twitching!
We have two new collections; Hummingbird and Lil’ Primrose, loads
of storage solutions, special card projects using our stamps and
Copic Markers and unique mixed media projects to experiment with.
The Hummingbird collection is so bright and colourful with deep
reds, mustards and teals running throughout this range. Birds, deers
and butterflies sweep across the papers making your eyes wander
to find more interesting elements! It’s a range that could be used
for any theme, as the papers are quite diverse, so from a girly layout
using the pinks in the collections to a boy layout, you are covered!
Our second release for the month is Lil’ Primrose. This collection is
every little girls dream with pastel pink, mint and yellow creating
up this ever-so-cute range. Lil’ Primrose will take you back to the
days that you dressed up in your mothers pearls. The hand-drawn
pictures of little girls, teacups, and flowers are perfect for the little
diva in your family.
So read on to find out how to really get the most out of our two
gorgeous ranges...we know they are sure to impress!

Paint the shelves and the insides of the drawers with Kaisercolour Sea
Breeze.
Assemble the drawers using Glossy Accents and cover with various
patterned papers from the collection. Trim off the excess and ink if
desired.
Cover the outside of the unit with a paper of your choice. Sand edges
and ink if desired.
Embellish the top and sides of the unit with Collectables, Blooms, Mini
Blooms, Stickers and the Flourish.

Island Lagoon, T303 Foam Tape. OTHER: Diamond Glaze, Twinklets Diamond Dust, acetate.
Paint all edges and pegs with Kaisercolour Red and allow to dry.
Cover the back piece with NECTAR, (you will need two pieces), the sides in FLOWER (reverse) and
AVERY (reverse) and the letter dividers with NECTAR (reverse), NEST(reverse) and FEATHER (reverse).
Slide dividers in and glue rack together.
Paint the wooden branch and one of the birds with Kaisercolour Red and once dry apply diamond
glaze. Trace around and cut out the shape of another wooden bird onto NEST (reverse), adhere to
the bird and apply diamond glaze.
Cut out a selection of the gloss butterflies from FLUTTER specialty paper and attach to dividers
with foam tape.
Adhere the rhinestone flourish to the side of the letter rack and decorate with flowers and blooms.
To create the flowers with lots of petals simply layer 5-8 paper flowers together and fluff petals up.
Add diamond dust for a sugared look.
Apply the coloured butterfly rubons to acetate, cut out and attach to the branch and flowers.
To add a little something extra, paint the small birdcage flourishes with Kaisercolour Yellow Deep
and once dry coat with diamond glaze. Attach the red bird to cage and hang from the pegs.

Kaisercolour. OTHER: Yellow Organza Ribbon and White Twine, Flower Punches
Paint the entire tree with Sea Breeze kaisercolour, and then paint the
wooden flourish birdcages with Yellow Deep kaisercolour. Allow both to
dry.
Next cut out various sized leaf shapes to fit the tree’s leaves, we only
used paper from the paper pad. Cut out four different sized yellow
butterflies from the specialty gloss sheet. Adhere leaves and butterflies
to the tree as desired.
Using the pink grid sheet from the paper pad, punch out 6 flower
shapes. Then with a smaller flower punch, punch out another 6 flowers.
Adhere the smaller flower to the centre of the larger one, and finish with
a knotted piece of white twine in the centre. Adhere all these flowers
randomly on the tree.
Finish by adhering and tying on the birdcage flourishes with yellow
organza ribbon.

TURQUIOSE AND PINK BIRDCAGE:
Paint entire birdcage with Tropical Water kaisercolour.
Cover bird with NEST reverse, and adhere in the top left corner.
Using NEST reverse, cut a strip approximately 4cm wide and fold like a
concertina. Glue together the sides to create a pinwheel circle.
Adhere pinwheel circle to the right hand side of the birdcage, and create a
cluster around it adhering a mixture of collectables and chanteuse posies.
Finish by adding a pink butterfly collectable and a pink butterfly sticker to
the centre of the pinwheel.
YELLOW AND RED BIRDCAGE:
Paint entire birdcage with Scarlett kaisercolour.
Cover bird with NECTAR reverse, and adhere in the top left corner.
Using FEATHER reverse, cut a strip approximately 3cm wide and fold like a
concertina. Glue together the sides to create a pinwheel circle.
Adhere pinwheel circle to the right hand side of the birdcage, and create a
cluster around it adhering a mixture of collectables and chanteuse posies.
Finish by embellishing with butterfly collectables and stickers.

Paint all edges of album with Kaisercolour Tropical Waters and allow to dry.
Cut strips from FLOWER (reverse) to fit the gaps in the cage and adhere
these to the back side of the cage. Adhere NEST to the back of front, cage
cover.
Birdcage Album (SB2142)
Use FLOWER (reverse) on the front of second page and FEATHER on the
back. For the third page use FEATHER (reverse) on the front and NECTAR on
the back. For the final page, cover the front with NECTAR (reverse) and the
back in AVERY (reverse). Add the decorative strips from the bottom of the
papers to each of the pages near the bottom.
Embellish your front cover with a variety of collectables and rubons. Adhere
these with foam tape to give added dimension.
Utilize the collectables, rubons, and sticker sheet to embellish the pages of
your album.

Paint edges in Sea Breeze paint, this may require 2 coats.
Use NEST to cover the front of the frame, making sure the top left corner
has the floral design. Trim the middle out.
For the back of the frame use AVERY, this piece doesn’t have to go right
to the edges, move the piece around until you’re happy with where the
pattern in the top right corner is.
Thread a piece of ribbon through the holes in the backing piece of your
frame; leave yourself enough ribbon to be able to tie a bow for hanging
purposes. Adhere the front frame piece to the backing piece of the frame.
Use Collectables and Sticker Sheet to decorate and add dimension with
foam tape.
Use Dimensional Magic to cover your Deer Flourish, when dry adhere to
bottom left corner.

Use FLORA die cut as the background for this layout.
Cut a 19cm (7½”) square and adhere to the centre of the page.
Adhere one 4 x6” photograph to the top right corner of the red piece
leaving a 1cm red border on the top and right edges.
Matte photograph using the green reverse NEST. Under the right edge
place a bracket die cut border strip. This can either be cut from FEATHER or
use the one in the back of the Hummingbird paper pad. Adhere this on an
angle to your page using foam tape.
Adhere various foliage die cuts from the collectable pack.
Adhere a journal tag die cut from the pack using foam tape and complete
layout by adding a title and other various stickers and collectables from
collection.

Use MEADOW as the background for this layout.
Cut a 6” x 6¾” rectangle from the corner of AVERY. Turn around so that
the blue foliage is in the lower right corner and use a craft knife to cut
around the blue and red flowers. Matt a photograph using the blue reverse
of AVERY and slide behind through this cut out piece. Before adhering
slide a 8cm x 21.5cm (3” x 8½“) red strip of FEATHER (reverse) behind the
photograph and also through the cut out.
Adhere this as a whole to the layout with a portion of the green circle
sticker underneath the bottom edge and a blue ribbon strip from Flight
slightly under the left edge.
Cut a rectangle from Avery (blue reverse) and adhere behind the cut out,
blue side showing.
Complete layout by adding additional die cuts from the collectable pack
and stickers as desired.

Use NECTAR as the background for this layout.
Cut a 28cm x15cm (11" x 6") NEST then ink and distress around the edges.
Adhere across your page 6cm (2¾”) from the bottom edge along with a few
tags tucked under the top edge on the left side and bottom edge on the
right.
Adhere a portion of the butterfly strip cut from the bottom of NECTAR
along the top edge of this green rectangle. Run the pink scallop border
strip along the bottom edge of the rectangle.
Cut a 20cm (8”) diameter circle, ink and distress the edges and adhere
towards the right side.
Cut a rectangle 12cm x 22cm ( 4¾”x8¾”) FEATHER. Ink and distress edges
and adhere across the page over the circle.
Adhere three 7.5cm x 10cm (4” x 3”) on slight angles to the yellow
rectangle.
Tie a few knots in a piece of string and hang the birdcage from it on
the right side of your layout with a few birds from the sticker sheet and
collectables to the top of this.
To the bottom left corner complete your layout by clustering a few foliage
diecuts along with some mini paper blooms.

Other: Turquoise Organza Ribbon, White and Craft cardstock and various decorative
punches.
Use a 12x12 sheet of craft card stock as your background.
Cut various sized strips from different coloured and designed papers in the
Hummingbird range, you will need roughly 12 different strips. Randomly
punch, fold and scrunch the different strip lengths and place centred on
the right of your background piece.
Once you are happy with the layout of your paper strips, adhere them to
the background piece.
Cut your photos to rounded squares, roughly 2¼ x 2¼ | 6cm x 6cm, and
matt onto white cardstock. Overlap the photos and adhere on top of the
paper strips, and then embellish further with collectables, as desired.
Cut 1¼ x 1 | 3cm x 2.5cm pennants from white cardstock, and adhere
your alpha sticker title to each pennant. Then adhere your title in the top
left corner, and add a knotted organza ribbon. To finish adhere tiny alpha
stickers in the bottom right corner.

Paint or ink the edges of all pieces in a colour to match paper range.
Cover the sides, one drawer and back side of unit using FANCY DRESS.
Cover the front of the back piece and one drawer using the reverse
SUMMER BONNET.
Cover the front of the bottom drawer using the floral piece from the
paper pad.
Ink the flourish mirror white and paint clear crackle paint over the top
and allow to dry. Decorate the front and top of the unit using die cuts
and paper blooms.

Paint edges of mirror frame with Kaisercolour Dusty Pink and allow to dry.
Cut around SUMMER BONNET with as much detail as possible to the leaves and flowers at the top
and the little girl, shoes and teddy on the lower left corner. Cut through the chair and cat on lower
right side. Attach this to the mirror and cut out the centre of page.
Glimmermist the two mini blooms to make a darker brown. Foam tape the large flower sticker from
DIVA to the lower right side then layer another flower sticker, paper blooms, mini paper blooms and
blossoms over the top.
Use a second piece of SUMMER BONNET and cut out some flowers, the teddy, shoe, mirror, tea cup,
the flower on the hat and dress pocket. Foam tape these around the mirror to give added dimension.
Layer another flower sticker from PRINCESS sticker sheet (if desired) to the flower on the hat and then
add a mini paper bloom.
Adhere the green blossoms around the top of mirror, attach the pearl strips, add some organza bows,
then finish the mirror by applying kindy glitz to some of the flowers and various embellishments.

Paint all exposed surfaces with Kaisercolour Mud Puddle and allow to dry. Cover the three drawers
with a selection of papers and apply a rubon to the middle drawer.
Paint the padlocks and keys with Mud Puddle and once dry apply dimensional magic. Adhere these to
the fronts of drawers.
Use stickers, paper blooms and blossom to form a flower cluster in the bottom left corner. Adhere
pearls and rhinestones to the dressing table and little girl stickers then attach these with foam tape
to the top right hand side of peg drawers. Add a mini paper bloom to the girls hat. Form a scallop
shape with the pearl strip to finish your project.

Paint the edges of pennants and the chipboard letters with
Kaisercolour Raw Umber and allow to dry. Spray letters with
glimmermist.
Adhere a selection of papers from paper pad to pennants. Use
PROPER (reverse), cut three 2.5cm (1”) strips and use border punch to
create a decorative border for top of pennants.
Punch out 10 flowers in coordinating papers from the paper pad, ink
petals and adhere to pennants with foam tape.
Ink white flowers and affix these along with chipboard letters to the
centre of flowers.
Finish pennants by adhering pearl strips along the edges and
threading organza ribbon through holes to hang.

Use FANCY DRESS as your background page and then adhere FABULOUS
Speciality Die Cut to the middle of your background page. Adhere your
photo to the centre of the page and then using the large floral sticker from
the 12” Sticker Sheet, adhere to your layout, partially covering your photo
with Foam Tape.
Select two mini borders from the Paper Pad die cuts. Slide on under the top
of your photo and one to the bottom of your photo and adhere. Stick the
Elegant Antique Rose Rhinestone Flourish to the top of your photo, and the
Classic Antique Rose Rhinestone Flourish to the bottom of your layout.
Select a little girl from the Die Cuts pack and adhere her to the bottom left
hand corner of your layout using Foam Tape.
Use the Banner Die to cut out 6 pieces in a mixture of papers. Use the 12”
Sticker Sheet alphabet stickers and adhere to the small banner cut outs.
Run some jute through the holes in each banner piece. Then adhere banner
to the top left corner on your layout using Foam Tape.
Finish off by again using the alpha stickers to spell out the word “lady”
beside your photo and add Glossy Accents to spots you would like to
highlight.

Use the pale green reverse of SUMMER BONNET as the background for this
layout.
Cut a 12.5cm (5”) strip of HAND ME DOWNS (Reverse) and run across the
centre of the page.
Cut 20cm x 23cm (8” x 9”) rectangle and adhere to the page 4cm (1½”)
from the top and left edges.
Adhere on an angle a 15cm x 18cm(6” x 7”) piece of HIGH TEA
Matte a 5” x 7” photograph using the green reverse FROCK and position on
page with a crochet doiliy. Quote die cut circle and other miscellaneous
accents from the paper pad tucked under the top left corner and top edge.
Under the right edge of the matted photograph tuck the bracket border
strip. When happy with layout of the little extras, adhere to the page.
Powder the backs of some of the stickers from the sticker sheet( to remove
the adhesive residue) and use them as die cuts. Layer the foliage and
little girl designs in the lower left corner. Use foam tape if desired to add
dimension. Adhere a few paper blooms within the foliage.
Add title to the page by cutting up the words on the border strip from the
paper SUMMER BONNET and adhere to the right of your layout.
Complete by adding another little girl sticker to the lower right corner of
your page and some piece of lace and accents from the paper pad to the
upper right corner.

Foam Tape
Use PROPER as the background for this layout. Cut a 24cm x 10cm (9½
“ x 4”) rectangle from FROCK reverse and adhere down the page with a
28cm x 20cm (11”x8”) rectangle FANCY DRESS adhered across the top of
this piece. Run two strips of different width lace across the bottom of the
yellow piece.
Matte one photograph using the pink gloss varnished piece from the paper
pad and another using the green reverse of Frock.
Adhere the portrait photograph using foam tape with die cut tag tucked
under the top edge.
Adhere the pink polka dot border die cut from paper pad to the bottom
edge of the landscape photograph and then adhere a piece of lace
underneath. Adhere to the page with another border strip from paper pad
underneath the bottom edge.
Run vine sticker up the left side of the page and adhere a little girl sticker to
the lower left corner of the photograph. Adhere a mini paper bloom over
the flower on the sticker to a make it appear she is holding a real flower.
Adhere two little girl collectables above the landscape photograph using
foam tape. Complete layout by adhering further die cuts and flowers as
desired.

Other: Lemon Embroidery thread, Cream Lace, Chipboard Alphas.
Use FANCY DRESS as the background for this layout. Roughly cut out eight
8cm (3¼") squares and layer them in the top left corner as illustrated with a
18cm x 12.5cm (7” x 5”) photographed centred over the top of them.
Using a yellow thread, sew two cross stiches over each join. Adhere the
large crochet doily to the lower right corner of the photograph.
Adhere a title to the top of this using a mixture of mini alpha stickers and
chipboard alphas. To make the mini alpha stickers stand out adhere them
first to small rectangles of paper cut from left overs.
Create a branch by cutting some small strips from PROPER and twist the
paper together into shape and adhere to the lower right corner of page.
Handcut some leaves from FROCK and adere in various positions. Adhere
the birdcage with a small piece of lace tied around the top so that it looks
like it is hanging from the branch.
To complete layout adhere a butterfly flourish to the top of the page and
handstich a loopy trail behind it.

Tuxedo Black Stamp Pad, X-Press Blending paper, Copic Marker’s R11, R20, E41, E43,
YG21, YG23, W1
Cut a 15.2cm x 30cm (6”x12”) rectangle from white cardstock. With the
rectangle in landscape position, score cardstock at 15.2cm (6”) and fold in
half to make your card base.
Cut 14.5cm x 14.5cm (5.75”x5.75”) square from the FROCK (reverse side)
paper and adhere to the front of card. Cut 14cm x 14cm (5.5”x5.5”) square
from the FROCK paper and adhere to the centre of the front of your card.
Die cut a rectangle using the Spellbinders Rectangle Die and white
cardstock. Stamp DRESS UPS Clear Stamp images onto X-Press It Blending
paper using Memento Ink and colour images using Copic Marker’s listed
above. Cut images out and adhere to white rectangle cardstock using Foam
Tape. Apply Foam Tape to the white rectangle and adhere to your card.
Use a Tag Die to die cut a tag and adhere a sentiment from the Girl’s
Rubons. Adhere to card.
To finish card add flowers and pearls.

PL501 White OTHER: White Cardstock, Spellbinders Die, Tag Die, Border Punch
Cut a 15.2cm x 30cm (6”x12”) rectangle from white cardstock. With

side of your card.

from the Paper Pad (reverse side) and border punch one side and
adhere to the front of card.

Adhere floral Die Cut to card using Foam Tape. Run the Pearl Strip
along the bottom of card, just above the border punch edge.
Use Spellbinder die to cut out any die shape and choose a
sentiment from the Girl’s Rubons. Adhere die cut to the centre of
your card using Foam Tape.
Finish card by adding Mini Blossoms and Resin Blossoms.

My job role is in Packaging for Kaisercraft. I am a shrink wrapper in the warehouse. I love my job, in fact I don't
even like taking holidays! I have worked at Kaisercraft for about 4 years.

Organise your craft room

Whether it be a smaller product like the mini drawers, or
the large desk organiser, decorating these are as easy as
1, 2, 3. Choosing the papers to cover these projects will
be your hardest decision.
1. Paint any side pieces you want exposed, and all edges. Allow to dry
2. Cover with paper any sides that aren't painted and then use selected
papers to cover the drawers.
3. Decorate using embellishments from a coordinating range, or
alternatively look around your craft room and use up any lefts overs you
may have that are from other projects. e.g. buttons, flowers.

bead wire around the flourish adding
the occasional bead here and there.
The Vine was covered with Ferro

Paint and Texture!
Discover the artist within and get out a paint brush and have some fun. There are no rules, as
the end result can be whatever you want it to be. Mixed media artwork is a great way to use up
many of your leftovers from other projects, especially paint and old rubons. It's not only fun but
therapeutic. Have more than one canvas on the go at a time, that way whilst one is drying you can
be working on another.

1. Modge podge old dress patterns to a canvas or collage some of your
favourite papers to create a background - allow to dry
2. Apply paint to the background as desired. One, two or as many colours as
you like. Thin the paint down if you want to see any background papers show
through. Alternatively add texture paste to your paint for raised effects.
3. Grab some texture stamps and have a little fun here there and everywhere.
I've used the Bubble Wrap, Grid and Music Texture Stamps.
4. Use up a few of those old rubons by randomly applying designs or part
thereof in various positions on the canvas. Don't be upset if the rubons don't
come off cleanly as it adds to the textured look.
5. Type up your favourite quote. Print it out, Cut it up and Stick it down.
6. Further decorate if desired with cut out shapes and other embellishments.
7. Finish off with another layer of modge podge or sealer to protect your work.
