Masonry Material
Orco Block
The Eleanor Roosevelt High School presents
a high level of design and construction
quality.
Concrete block was crucial to the success of
this building as it functions as both the
external and internal finish material, thereby
saving construction costs, while providing
style and durability. The use of concrete
masonry units was the appropriate choice of
material for integrating the school to the
residential neighborhood.
Masonry walls with alternating color bands of
tan and red accentuate the exterior and
interior finishes enhancing the visual and
textural contrast giving the final aesthetic
quality and building identity to the Eleanor
Roosevelt High School.
