Tour Leader
This trip is hosted by Donna Woods, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and Wine & Spirit
Education Trust (WSET) Atlanta Wine School Graduate. Donna is former co-owner of
Lakeside Restaurant in Highlands, NC. She helped to grow Lakeside’s wine list into a 13+
year Wine Spectator Award winning wine list. Donna and husband Marty’s extensive
winter travels to wine regions in France, Italy, Portugal, South Africa and of course,
California, Oregon, Washington, New York and even New Mexico and Arizona, have given
her wonderful first-hand opportunities to enjoy and learn more about wine. Donna will
guide you to a love of Pinots, not just the famous Pinot Noir, but Pinot Gris (Grigio in Italy)
and Pinot Blanc.
Willamette Valley also produces award winning Chardonnays, Syrahs and Cabernet
Sauvignon, but the crown in their cap is always the Pinots.
