2012! A Year In Review
USC Dance Marathon!
The BHF teen advisory board danced all night at
the 6th annual USC Dance Marathon. Eileen performed with USC medical student Michael Zobel
and the BH foundation presented Michael with an
appreciation award for his support of CHLA and
BHF. Pictured is the advisory board with CHLA
Associate Director Lisa Baxter. The event raised
over $60,000 for Children’s Hospital LA.
Nick Cannon’s 1st Annual
Family Day
The BHF was invited to attend Nick
Cannon’s first annual Family Day held
at Santa Monica pier. The day featured
live performances, food, and free rides
for all in attendance. They had a blast!
Dr Mary Stauffer Turns 95!
Congratulations to Dr. Mary Stauffer who celebrated her 95th
birthday this past August! Her special day included a performance
by Eileen and free admission to all Downey residents to the Columbia Space Center paid by Mary R Stauffer Foundation. Dr
Stauffer’s foundation provides scholarships for Downey students
and a great supporter of BHF. Is she special or what? Love you!

Larry King Foundation Gala
On May 20th 2012, Eileen performed on behalf of BHF at Mr. Kings annual gala held at the Ritz Carlton in Washington DC. The event raised over $150,000 for Mr. Kings cardiac foundation. Eileen is pictured with Larry and Shawn King prior to her

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles held
its Noche De Niño's Gala at LA Live
to recognize the amazing supporters
of CHLA and 2012 honorees Pau
Gasol (LA Lakers), The Walt Disney
Company, and Professional Model
and Entrepreneur Heidi Klum. Eileen
was asked to present Walt Disney
Senior Executive VP & CFO Jay
Rasulo and Heidi Klum with their
awards. The evening included dinner
by Wolfgang Puck and a live performance by Five For Fighting. The
evening helped raised $2.6 million for
CHLA. It was an enchanted and magical evening!
During the summer break, the BHF teen’s helped
raise money for CHLA’s reading program by collecting recyclables. The program brought together
friends and family to help in this worthy cause. Way
to go girls!
Supporting Our OC Ronald McDonald
House Friends!!
Eileen was asked to perform the National Anthem
at the annual “Walk For Kids” in support of
Ronald McDonald House of Orange County.
After performing, Eileen took to the task of walking the 5k walk to complete her day!

House for their support of CHLA. Without them, families could not afford
housing to be near their children. God
bless you”!
XBOX 360 Supports Children’s Hospital LA
Celebrities came out to support CHLA and CMN
at the XBOX Game Lounge. Eileen was asked to
help host the three day event by playing games
and conduct interviews with celebrity guests.

Mom & Daughter Night At The Pantages
Mom’s and daughters of BHF were invited by the
Children’s Miracle Network to Donny & Marie’s
Annual Christmas Show held at the Pantages theater in Hollywood. It was a night filled with great
performances by D&M and holiday cheer!

Kohl’s. The girls were
treated like royalty by
the Kohl’s staff. They’re
awesome!!
BHF & USC Get Together For Holiday
Treats!
The BHF team got together with the USC DM
team to share in a little holiday cookie decorating
for CHLA patients. Everyone had a great time
and there were lots of sweets for all in
attendance.
Holidays From The Heart
The Beating Hearts Foundation
participated in CHLA’s annual
Holidays From The Heart program. This year we sponsored
11 year old Milan and her family. Milan had been waiting for
a new heart for 6 months at
CHLA. Not only did she get a
new heart, she got the Barbie
doll house she asked Santa for!
