Language Picture.

very traditional boss.

Italian, 2003. 108 minutes. Rated R.

Meet The
Author
Sponsored by the Friends of The Library
Home News Tribune and Asbury Park Press Columnist,
Michael Riley: “Scars, Tattoos & the Funny Bone”
Sunday, June 3, 6-7:30 p.m.
Mike Riley would be the first to tell you he is “only human”, not coincidentally
the title of his much-loved humor and spirituality column. His thousands of
readers can’t wait to catch up with the continuing weekly adventures of
Mike, his better half Sue, and their four sons, and benefit from his inspiring
words. Some of his most memorable musings are now available in a book of
his collected works, entitled, what else, Only Human.
The Camden-born ordained American Baptist minister led three
congregations for more than 20 years before, as he wryly puts it, “Going over to the dark side to the secular humanist world of journalism.”
The public is invited to hear Mike’s sometimes outrageous but
always entertaining opinions.
Gardening Guru, Pegi Ballister-Howells
“Fall: It’s Not Just for Chrysanthemums Anymore”
Sunday, July 29, 2-4 p.m.
How does your garden grow? When it comes to autumn, mum’s not
the only word. The popular host of EBTV’s At Home with Pegi and
author of New Jersey Gardener’s Guide and Month by Month Gardening in New Jersey offers tips on planning a creative garden with
fall-blooming bulbs, asters known in Jane Austen novels as Michaelmas Daisies, and other flowers you might not have considered.
Pegi will also autograph copies of her top-selling books and chat
with fans. Light refreshments will be served.

French, 2005. 108 minutes. Unrated.
In the late 1970’s, affluent middle-aged women flock to Haiti,
where their money can buy them the charms and companionship
of young native men, if only temporarily.

oldies vocal group has been entertaining audiences in New York and New Jersey for years
at street and county fairs, supper clubs, the Meadowlands, and Catskills resorts.
Audience participation is encouraged! This program is sponsored by the Friends of The Library.

Paul Pugliese, the Guitar Man
Saturday, August 11, 7-9 p.m.
Influenced by the varied likes of Chet Atkins,
the Ventures, and Andrea Segovia, Paul
Pugliese has played with numerous bands
and singers since first picking up a guitar in

of music and rearrange it to a more complex piece that gives the sound of at least
two musicians. With pieces ranging from
popular music to classical works, he
maintains an eclectic repertoire.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of
The Library.
