ES FOX LTD.
BRIDGE DIVISION
The Bridge Division of E.S. Fox Ltd. manages & executes both the field erection of a wide variety of bridge
structures along with the fabrication and field erection of structural steel. E.S. Fox is the leader in Ontario
(for 7 consecutive years) in providing the most union man-hours. Employing more than any Ontario
contractor helps us keep and pool the key personnel to achieve success in this highly schedule driven market.
Our Bridge Division management team provides cost-effective and efficient control of a project from the
initial tender stage through to project completion. We employ experienced and highly skilled Unionized
steel erection field crews who are mandated to provide a safe working environment on each of our project
sites.
In the early planning stages, our management team can work closely with architects, engineers and owners to
assist in the design and budgeting of projects. Although we have completed many projects involving
relatively simple bridge installations, most of our larger commercial and industrial projects have demanded a
level of managerial and field execution performance which is far above the ordinary. These projects usually
involve complex or unique structural systems erected on a fast-track schedule, normally precluding the owner’s use of less competent steel erectors.
In addition to the on-site field erection E.S. Fox can provide all the engineered lift plans along with the
Quality Verification Engineering (if required). We have worked with a variety of Engineering firms
depending on the location and type of project.
In the field, E.S. Fox employs highly qualified and fully trained “Union” erection crews. Our field
supervisors have many years of experience working on bridge projects along with industrial and commercial
projects.
E.S. Fox maintains a $40 million inventory of construction tools and equipment which is available for use by
the bridge division. Every project requires a wide variety of cranes and man-lifts, which we maintain and
update on a continual basis. We also maintain close working relationships with major crane rental firms in
the province to access equipment that is not cost-effective for inclusion in our own inventory.
