This collection could not have had a better start: The new furniture collection from
LECHUZA just launched in summer 2015 – and the new LECHUZA stackable chair
already won the coveted GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2016 in the “Gardening and
Outdoor Living” category in October. Design and quality “made in Germany” – the
award is further proof of LECHUZA’s flair for sophisticated design in outdoor living.
The LECHUZA furniture collection is the result of a joint effort between platinumdesign and geobra Inhouse Design.
It is a high-quality collection of plastic furniture for the most discerning customers. The new LECHUZA stackable chair meets these high demands with
ease. Like the popular LECHUZA planters, the new furniture collection is made in Dietenhofen, Germany (near Nuremberg) using state-of-the-art plastic
injection molding. Take a seat and see for yourself what impressed the panel of experts of the GERMAN DESIGN AWARD most about the LECHUZA
stackable chair: its elegant appearance, superior comfort and advanced manufacturing process.
The German Design Award is the international premium prize presented by the German Design Council. The unique nomination process ensures that
only the most demonstrably remarkable product and communication design achievements are considered for submission.
A real winner: The new LECHUZA stackable chair – for hotels and private patios
This comfortable stackable chair is ideal for seating at cafés, hotels or restaurants. But the LECHUZA stackable chair is also ideal for private use thanks
to its attractive wicker look featuring an air-permeable seat and back for hours of comfortable seating – indoors or outdoors. LECHUZA furniture is UV
resistant, frostproof and easy to clean; it will be available January 2016 in the colors white and granite.

German Design Award
Initiated in 2012, the German Design Award is already one of the most widely recognized design competitions in the world and has a distinguished
reputation throughout the industry and beyond. The German Design Award 2016: Nominations were made for projects and products from 65 countries.
The panel included design experts from Germany, Austria, England, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, China, Hong Kong, Sweden, Indonesia,
Switzerland and the US.
