Hello, my friends, and greetings
in the Name of our Lord and
Saviour, Jesus Christ,
I do view myself as your radio
pastor in addition to being Pastor
of Faith Alliance Church of
Erwinville, LA. I have served the
church for 38 years, Sound Radio
for 28 years. I will end my tenure
as pastor of Faith Church at the
end of October.
Last month's newsletter had a
few items of history of the radio
ministry. Let's continue with
some history before the radio at
Faith Alliance Church.
I surrendered to the Gospel ministry in 1968;started college and
pastored three local churches before being led to begin Faith
Church in Erwinville, LA. In 1975
I purchased a mobile home and
moved our family to Erwinville.
We began meeting with a few
families in the trailer. Soon after, a
family graciously provided an

begun and completed. The
church family dedicated the facilities to the LORD'S work and
moved into their new auditorium.
It was an unusual eight-sided
building designed by myself for
use as a multi-purpose building.
That same year Faith Academy
of Christian Education
(F.A.C.E.) was established using
the church building as classrooms during the weekdays. Accelerated Christian Education

continually for over 37 years
with much success in training
students to "FACE" life with
God's purposes and point of view
in mind, heart, and life. I served
as Pastor and Principal for 20
years. I have continued as Ad-

ministrator and will do so until

serves as Principal/Supervisor of

outreach of Faith Alliance
Church.
Now we join the history of the
radio ministry as begun in
1985. The LORD led the church
to establish a Christian Radio
Station. A separate 501 (c) (3)
organization was established,
Port Allen Educational Broadcasting Foundation. This has proved to
be one of the most challenging, but
yet a most rewarding part of Faith
Church and its overall outreach
ministry. Furthermore, it proved to
be a great blessing to people who
listen! This makes up the third part
of the ministry outreach of Faith
Alliance Church.
Through an unusual "move of
God" that lasted 15 days in the
church, provisions were miraculously made available that established KPAE Radio at 91.5 fm. It
went on the air with 380 watts of
power and broadcasted 24 hours
daily. Less than 20 years later the
power of KPAE was increased to
5,000 watts with another increase
later to the present power of
10,000 watts.
During this time, the congregation grew to need additional
space for both the church and
academy. These major needs
were met by the gracious sacrificial giving and labor of the
members of Faith Church without going into debt. That was
the policy of the Church from its
beginning.
In 1991 the Christian Radio ministry was expanded into Mississippi. Broadcasts can now be heard
over WPAE at 89.7 fm with
84,000 watts of power. The offic(Continued on back)

This exciting radio ministry,
"SOUND RADIO" (WPAE &
KPAE), has crossed denominational lines and ministers to people in
the LA and MS areas. The radio
has reached far beyond the areas
served by Faith Alliance Church
for 28 years.

(Matthew 28:18-20). This affiliation and partnership continues to be
part of the outreach of Faith Ministries, allowing us to have a part of
world missions.
As the ministry of the Church,
Academy and Radio work was ongoing I completed both a BA and
MA in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport, LA. I am an ordained minister with the C&MA and have
served my last pastorate for 38
years. Arlene and I have been married for 54 years and we have three
children and five grandchildren.

for 38 years. We plan to continue
together at SOUND RADIO for as
long as the Lord sees fit. In 1997
we moved to Centreville, MS to
operate WPAE.
We will retire from Faith Alliance
Church as I said, but I am not retiring from ministry. I will continue as
General Manager and President of
SOUND RADIO as long as the
LORD and my health dictate. I will
also be available for pulpit supply or
to present the radio ministry to
churches and organizations. I plan
to visit and hopefully encourage the
churches that have so faithfully
funded SOUND RADIO. So I just
might walk into your church
one Sunday.
God bless,
