About OSO
The OSO is a community arts centre set up to provide the local community with a
venue for theatre and live performance, art exhibitions, dance, music, drama for all ages
and abilities, as well as offering groups and societies the perfect meeting place. The
centre is based in the Old Sorting Office building beautifully located on the green by
the pond, nestling in the centre of Barnes.
We have three delightful and airy studio spaces which can be adapted to one large
space offering a sprung dance floor, soundproof screens and our new tiered seating.
We also hire out the space for private functions such as weddings, christenings, birthday
parties and charity events plus regular weekly classes. The staff at OSO are polite and
helpful, and always ready and eager to assist with any logistical arrangements.
There is full disabled access at OSO.
Everyday Barnes Café @ the OSO
The Café is open from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on
Saturdays. We offer a truly unique setting in a lovely, open and friendly environment
and are always ready with a warm welcome. With a firm emphasis on taste and quality,
we use local suppliers to source the best ingredients and make almost everything from
scratch. Our new menu includes a delicious salad selection, which is freshly made and
changes daily, as well as soups, pasta, paninis, sandwiches and wraps. We also offer a
fabulous selection of homemade cakes and muffins and our coffee is specially selected
and hand roasted.
Children are always welcome at the OSO and we offer a tasty lunch and snack selection
especially for our little guests. Our children’s menu has also been completely revamped
so do pop in and check it out.

The OSO is available to hire for children’s parties. We offer bespoke packages which
include catering and a bar for adults. Please visit www.osoarts.org.uk

(1940s amateur detectives) are called in to investigate

case opens up, all roads seem to lead north... to the
bracing boulevards of Edinburgh. A train journey
beckons, toast & marmalade is replaced by porridge

menace of....a juniper crisis. Join ‘The Misfits of
London’ for a live recording of “The Gin Chronicles: A
Scottish Adventure.”

fabulous salad selection, together with bacon baps
and burgers from our Smithfield butcher. We will also
be showing the Wimbledon Ladies Final on a big

authentic experience! Outside, Sipsmiths make a very
welcome return with their pop up bar, one of the big
hits at last year’s fair.
