Dear Brother Knights,
Grand Knight’s Message
We are still in need of a deputy grand knight and a recorder. Please
contact me if you are possibly interested in these positions.
Thanks to all members, spouses, and families who attended our annual
KC picnic. We had a good turnout and great weather.
Thanks to everyone who helped put up the tent for Pola-Czesky Days and
then showed up the next day to put it back up after it blew down. Even
though the KC’s don't use the tent, we still benefit from the celebration.

August Lunch Committee
Thanks to everyone who helped with the cheese curd stand. A special
thanks to Joe Chloupek for the gas for the fryers. We had 600 pounds of
cheese curds, same as in the past, and we had sold out by early Sunday.
Results will be announced at our August meeting.
Workers: Steve Dennison,
Brian Fehrenbach, Joseph Fehrenbach,
and Patrick Fogarty
We had a great amount of help getting the float ready and taking it down
after the parade. Thanks to those who helped on the parade float.
If you still owe your 2016 Dues of $20, pay
at our next meeting or by mailing your dues
to Financial Secretary Ron Penas
Our annual Blue Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 12th at
7:00 p.m. Bars and refreshments will be served in the church basement
afterward. Please let me know if you are able to help to help with any
part of this.
Welcome back to Bob and Peni Penas. They attended the 134th Supreme
Convention in Toronto, Canada. To those who may not know, Bob is our
new state deputy. I’m sure Bob has lots of stories and memories from
this experience, and some convention highlights are on the next page.
Our next paper drive is October 28th & 29th. Please start saving your
clean paper and cardboard.
Also, keep saving pop tabs to help the Ronald McDonald Houses in
Minnesota. You can drop them off at church or bring them to the our
meetings.

Some Supreme Convention Highlights
Have You Insured Your Most Valuable Asset?
Is your income protected if you become sick or injured and
cannot work? Your ability to work and earn an income is
your most valuable asset. Yet a disability could prevent
you from earning that income. Just one year of a disability
could eliminate your savings.
Income Armor, an individual disability income insurance
product from the Knights of Columbus, should be a key
part of your overall financial plan and family’s protection.
If you are ill or injured, Income Armor provides tax-free
monthly benefits to help you meet living expenses and
maintain you and your family’s standard of living. Your
monthly benefits help you pay your mortgage and other
monthly bills, while your savings and retirement assets
remain intact.
In short, if you have a job and don’t have a way to protect
that paycheck, you should seriously consider Income
Armor today. I look forward to meeting with you.
