Cards Play Boards Tokens

Thanks for downloading this print and play version of Castle Dice! We are super excited about this game and wanted
to make sure that every element of the game was available to potential backers - we are confident you’re going to like
this game!
Castle dice is what we are calling a “BigBox” game - meaning it’s crammed full of stuff. That means that printing out
all the components and preparing them for play could take you awhile (trust us, we’ve lost years of our lives to making
playtest product...), but it is the complete base game, it’s a lot of fun. Here is what you will find in these documents...
Cards
Castle Dice features 3 decks of cards. The Villiage Deck (which mostly has workers), the Castle Deck (mostly parts of
your castle) and the Feast Deck (special abilities you get for turning in sets of animals - note: in the final version, these
will be half sized cards so they are easily discernable, the versions here are full sized - making them easier to put into
sleeves). You’ll want to print one copy of each file, cut them into cards, and then sleeve them into unique colored card
sleeves. We like to use another game card (common CCG cards we have lying around) to “back” these printed out
cards so that they shuffle better.
Play Boards
You’ll need 4 player play mats (one for each player), and one Turn Tracker. You can leave these as paper,
or you can affix them to some stiffer cardboard (like poster board or even cereal boxes!).
Tokens
We print these sheets out on sticker sheets. We then attach the sticker sheets to card stock and cut them out. You don’t
need to do this if you don’t want to. You can use poker chips in place of animals (if you have 4 colors of them), and
meeples or pawns from other games as workers. We use glass beads to track our resources.
Dice Chart
Rather than have you print out stickers for dice and find some 60+ dice, we have provided a sheet that shows
you all the faces of the dice. What you’ll need is 63 dice of 5 different colors.
• 14 “Wood” Dice (we use brown dice)
• 14 “Stone” Dice (we use gray dice)
• 13 “Gold” Dice (we use yellow dice)
• 12 “Land” Dice (we use green dice)
• 10 “Ore” Dice (we use red dice)
After dice are rolled, use the attached Dice Chart to see what the dice actually rolled. For the main Gathering
Phase, leave the Dice Chart in the middle of the table and put the dice on the area of the chart that corresponds
to the type of dice and the roll. This makes it fairly easy for players to draft as it helps sort the dice by type
and quantity.
note: In the final versions, the animals will appear the same color as the dice, we left them color coded here
in case you want to color code your animal tokens.
