Break free from Pelvic Floor Disorders!
One in three women is at risk for pelvic floor disorders (PFDs). Don’t suffer in silence due
to bladder, bowel, or sexual function problems caused by weakened pelvic muscles.
During this special GNO, we will help women in our community “Break Free from Pelvic
Floor Disorders.” Effingham Health System has joined a national campaign to help end
the stigma of PFD and provide women with hope, answers as well as safe and effective
options for prevention and treatment.
Join Dr. Toni Sylvester, Urogynecologist, and Courteney Rainey, EHS physical therapist, as
they address myth-understandings about pelvic floor disorders and provide need-to-know
information to improve the quality of life for women living with PFD.
EHS is participating in a nationwide event coordinated
with the American Urogynecologic Association.
Carrying extra weight is a known risk factor for PFDs.
