Olivera Sworn in for 3rd term on PWC Board; Lallier elected PWC Chair
Luis “Lou” Olivera was sworn in to a third four-year term on the Fayetteville Public Works
Commission by Fayetteville Mayor Tony Chavonne at the regular PWC meeting held on Sept. 14.
Olivera, who joined the board in 2003, was re-appointed by the Fayetteville City Council at its
August 22 meeting.
PWC Officers were also elected at Wednesday’s meeting. Mike Lallier was elected Chair. Lallier
is general manager and co-owner of Reed-Lallier Chevrolet and has served on the PWC Board
since 2004. He previously served as Chair from 2007-2008. Other officers for the upcoming year
are: Wilson Lacy - Vice Chair; Terri Union -Secretary; and Olivera - Treasurer.
The PWC Board consists of four members, appointed by the Fayetteville City Council to serve
up to three four-year staggered terms. PWC meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday
of each month
