Heddington Oaks is a non-profit, skilled care
home for seniors in Peoria County. Located on
13 acres in the quiet, residential neighborhood of
West Peoria, our home has 214 beds, including
accommodations for 80 Alzheimer’s patients.
Our semi-private and private rooms allow for
more independence, while our communal wings
grant social opportunities for meeting new
people and developing friendships.

Skilled Care Nursing and Rehabilitation with all the Comforts of Home
We strive to make this move as seamless as possible for you. Whether your
stay is short for rehabilitation or longer term living, the Heddington Oaks
environment is designed to help residents retain their independence, privacy,
and dignity.
Heddington Oaks accepts private insurance and private pay.
We are also a licensed facility for Medicare and Medicaid.

Medical Care
On-Site Therapy
At Heddington Oaks, you can relax and be
comfortable knowing that skilled, compassionate
professionals are focused on your health.
Rehabilitation services are offered on-site seven
days a week by licensed professionals.
A medical director visits the home twice weekly,
with a nurse practitioner on-site five days a
week to ensure the highest quality medical care.
An ophthalmologist and podiatrist also visit
regularly.
Each care unit is overseen by a specially trained
registered nurse and staffed by licensed practical
nurses and certified nursing assistants.
A full-time wound care specialist and restorative
nurse ensures healthy patient recovery.
A dedicated care wing for Alzheimer’s and all
dementia patients provides a safe, secure and
comforting home.
Hospice and palliative care services are available.

We offer physical,
occupational, and
speech therapy.
Other specialty
services include:
wound treatment,
swallow assessment,
new joint rehab,
balance and fall
reduction, stroke
rehab, and more.
Upon physician referral, our therapists evaluate
each resident and develop a comprehensive rehab
program for effective healing.
Therapy services at Heddington Oaks produce a
high return-to-home ratio. Our average length of
stay is under 25 days.

Dietary needs are addressed by our full-time
Registered Dietitian and customized meal
plans.
Social Services staff ensure the well-being of
residents through counseling, support groups,
assessments, and referrals to outside agencies.
Activities department offers a variety of social
opportunities and religious services to help
residents stay independent and engaged.
Personal Services may be scheduled with our
licensed cosmetologist and barber.
