Why are we in Physics Department of Karabük University ?

Our goal is to become one of the most prominent universities
of the world, educating highly qualified students by contributing
to their development, and to produce science and technology by
rapidly adapting our department to conditions of internal and
external environments

We provide comprehensive laboratory courses to our students
in order to let them to improve themselves and get prepared for
their profession.

We provide professional consultants for our students to choose their courses,
to be able to get academic sources, to be able to look for sources relevant to their
research and so on.

In our well equiped modern laboratories we will study for DPT, TÜBİTAK and
many internationally supported projects.

In certain periods we arrange tours titled Endustry Tour for our students to
show them applications of principles that they have learned in courses and
laboratories.
Why Physics ?

Physics is an art of science that tries to explain all
physical events in universe using very sophisticated
mathematics and philosophy.

Physics has very tight bound with other sciences,
like chemistry , astrophysics , medical and engineering
sciences. Further natural sciences improve, the more
they need for methods and philosophy of physics. For
this reason, today, physics is a study field not only for
physicists but also for other scientists who are not
previously interested in this field.

Shortly we can say that Physics is a systematic
investigation of fundamental properties of universe.
Each one of this fundamental properties closely related
with behaviours of matters and fundamental influences
between each other. Consequently, Physics is a
fundamental science of the nature.
Who is Physicist ?
A Physicist is a person who has learned scientific thinking, has
principles for solving problems that he/she may encounter in profession life,
and besides adapting himself (herself) to science and technology, he has
necessary skills and knowledge to be able to make contribution to these fields .
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Students who graduate from our physics department, as scientist have the
capability of making research and development; can take a position on research and
development laboratories of factories or medium sized companies of industry, and also
in universities working as Research Assistants. Additionaly, our well educated students
can find jobs in many technical fields like computer hardware and software related ones.
