This is a first of its kind of project in Kuwait initiated by EIA to bring a Zero
Flaring system. The residues ( in form of hydrocarbon dust and sulphur
particles) as a byproduct of Catalytic cracking from FCCU unit , goes to the
stack through Electrostatic Precipitator. The precipitator unit has electrodes
inside. When high voltage is given to these electrodes , Electrode acts as
cathode and chamber plates as Anodes. The ESP precipitates the dust from
the Flue gas which accumulates on the chamber which is rapped out from the
collection plate and rapped out to the stack.

at KP39 on Transit Line 3. It runs south east to the Doha power station for
approximately 25 km.
