It’s your facility, you are a stakeholder and an
important part of the process
You have a voice
It’s fun, there are opportunities for all
It’s social, you will be working with new friends &
groups towards a common goal
My Philosophy






Give in a little (don’t be a control freak)
Listen a Lot (be receptive to ideas, you think you
know it all but you don’t)
Put the pieces together (combine resources)
Everyone together (all volunteer projects are run
through “the meeting”)
Avoid the “I’m gonna do it all” type
Thank your volunteers
Formalizing the group

you think)
