Under 19s had yet another bye last week. Well done to the players who played grade.

Ladies tag – another great win to the girls winning 80 nil.
First grade - sadly a repeat performance of last week wasn’t what was needed against a strong Ourimbah
side. Ourimbah had the game pretty much in control by half time, with a final score of 44-16. Alan Munro was
best on the field for Erina picking up the 3 points.

Hawks NEWS
CENTRAL COAST 4 X 4 WRECKERS FIRST GRADE: We displayed all of our
qualities in a very gutsy 26-24 win against a committed Woy Woy side that never
gave up. We showcased our brilliant attack with some nice tries scored by
TOUKLEY
RLFC
Nathan Akers, Jye Newton and Jake Fitzpatrick in the first half to lead 16-6 at
the break. Further tries to Dylan Thorne and Mitch Riley helped us build a 26-12 lead mid
way through the second half, before Woy Woy came roaring back with two late tries after we gave away back
to back sets a few times. This is where our desperation in defence really shone through though as we put our
bodies on the line and held them out to hang on for a great win.
We will need all of these qualities again to beat a strong Erina team who will be fired up at home and desperate
for two points. We have just as much - if not more - to play for ourselves though, especially given the tightness

competition
and the goals we have set ourselves, so it should be another cracker of a game. Good luck
fellas, rip in!
CDM REINFORCEMENTS RESERVE GRADE: A bit of an ill disciplined performance today seen Woy Woy get
away with a 40-26 win. After a see-sawing first half, the Roosters made us pay in the second half, before we
staged a bit of a late fightback but the damage was done. Heads up boys, we’re still sitting third and if we get
back to the basics of playing smart, disciplined footy we’ll turn our results around again. Remember we have to
do the hard work first and it will pay off. Good luck against Erina guys!
TOUKLEY CARPARK BUTCHERY OPEN AGE: A brilliant first 50 odd minutes had us leading 24-0 at the break
and 36-6 mid way through the second half, before St Edwards fought back and gave us a late scare. In the
end we did well to hang on for a 36-32 win, but hopefully we learn an important lesson in that we cannot afford
to switch off, especially against good sides like St Eddies. Another big one this week against Erina - good luck
boys!
JUST CUTS LADIES LEAGUE TAG: A great effort today girls in what was a very tough game. The second half
in particular showed a lot of improvement and if we keep up that effort a few better results are not far away.
Good luck against the Eagles this weekend!

and a couple of errors saw Wyong with a mountain of football and they scored a try just before
the half time break and we took a 10points-6 lead into the break. Once again the second half was not our
best and we found ourselves on the end of a lopsided penalty count which saw Wyong end up running
out winners by 22points - 10 in a tough game of footy.
Today we play in the #closethegap round where we take on Northern Lakes in what should be a great
game.
AUSSTEEL FRAMES RESERVE GRADE- Rd 12: Bad result, great effort. I cannot praise the boys
enough for the brilliant 1st half effort put in and with the loss of 2 players due to injury, for nearly the entire
game, everyone’s efforts lifted. An acceptable 70% completion rate and finally starting to look dangerous when attacking the line, certainly gave the competition front runners a bit of a scare. Kincumber
8 – Wyong 4 Half Time.
First 15 minutes of the 2nd half however cost us the game with Wyong taking full advantage of our
mistakes and again another opposition side teaching us about patience. Late in the half however, saw
the boys come storming back to again give Wyong a scare but a few wrong options proved to be our
downfall. Wyong 18 – Kincumber 14 Fulltime
Looks like we’ve lost yet another player with a season ending injury (Sab). Hope you get well soon, I see
you’re loving the hospital food. Hopefully we will get some injured players back for this week’s game to
take on Northern Lakes.
Tries this week went to Wags and Logan with Trav kicking 3 from 3.
Award winners this week: Blake Wagner 3 points and Players Player, Logan Wylie and Blake Holmes 2

Bunnies NEWS
Umina Bunnies took on Northern Lakes at Col Gooley Oval on a Sunny winters day .
The ladies league tag started off with a much better attitude and aptitude this week,
with a resounding win 86 to 0 proving that when they are switched on they can really turn it on.
Coach Sharpie made some positional changes to the team in a shake up to get the girls back
on track . Stevie Cummings ,Emily Hennesy,Bekky Kilham,Katey Ricter ,all played well but coach
sharp was more impressed with the attitude.
Reserve grade lost to a more enthusiastic Northern Lakes –respect for the ball was the main thing lacking along
with some fire in belly, enthusiasm ,gusto ,mongrel, intensity -call what you will .
The fact the boys keep turning up shows character ,there is just a spark needed boys .
With a few players getting taken up by first grade we are lacking a bit of size . Andy Trinder , Josh Mcshane ,Jarred
James Hayne tried hard , and if the boys can lift there mojo they will win a few in the back end .
Umina first grade welcomed Northern Lakes to the cauldron and after a slow start overcame some strong resistance with a solid effort on the day .
Umina halve’s’ Blake Mattei and Rhys Paget are working well together and can put attacking raids on from deep in our
own territory. Mack Fawcett is taking the pack forward, with Mathias impressing in only his second game in first grade
for the club , young Props Kinley and Hall doing everything asked of them and more .
Scotty Gowans has added a new dimension to his game with some good shots in defence and darting runs from
dummy half ,Corey “Flemdog “ Flemming loved the move into the pack and got right amongst it and seems to get better
each game .
With a solid win 32-20 we move to equal 4th but-with our for and against we need to keep winning .
A danger game against Central Wyong- at Wattanobbi (best not repeat the first round effort` boys ) has. Coach Flynny
facing a big challenge to get the boys firing right from the kick off and have the boys revved right up against the razorbacks who love to lift against Umina .
He will welcome Walsh ,Fonno & Eldridge to bolster ranks from last week.
Umina next home game Sunday 19th July Vs Kincumber Colts , Rally ‘round the banner and get down early at 12pm to
watch the much anticipated game between two premiership contenders in the Ladies league tag ,and no love lost and
a battle ensuing for a top 5 spot in first grade.

1st Grade – Umina 32 - Warriors 22
Well we certainly improved on last week and took the early lead. Unfortunately a lapse in concentration cost
us dearly leading into the break and we went in 18-12 down. The Bunnies maintained their lead throughout
the 2nd half and came away with the win. Good to see a better team effort this week and we look forward
to continued improvement for the season. Tries – Brucey, Jake, Shaan & Pat. Goals Ovey x 3.
All the best guys = John Maclean
2nd Grade – Warriors 34 – Umina 4
Great win to start the 2nd round. I was very happy with all aspects of our game. I thought we played as
a team and our defence was the most pleasing aspect of the game. Our forwards led the way in attack
which laid the foundation for a good attacking performance. I would like to thank Brendo, Johnno, Diez and
everyone else for their support on the day. Thanks Ken

Razorbacks NEWS
An exciting day today for the Razorbacks with as many as 18 players of aboriginal
heritage celebrating this special round of footy. We’re certain today’s special occasion
will mean a lot to our boys and should see some entertaining footy being played as we
meet Umina again for the second time this season.
Our 19s went down last week 32-6 in a spirited effort against a slick looking and well coached The Entrance
side. The boys continue to improve after a tight, well matched first half going to the break only 8-6 down though
3 quick tries just after half-time dented our resolve. The boys kept their heads up to finish the match well. 3-2-1
went to Jonny White, Jake Tammekand and Luke James.
Hope to see a great home ground crowd this week against Umina where First and Reserve Grades will be in
action.
A huge thanks to our generous sponsors for 2015. Your help and support is really appreciated as we strive to
make Central Wyong a long term success in the Central Coast Competition.

Magpies NEWS
Today our club would like to extend a big welcome to all our loyal supporters, sponsors
& everyone who enjoys rugby league to the beautiful Sohier Park where we host the
Terrigal Sharks and we as a club are looking forward to this challenge in all grades,
a special thank you must go out to all the helpers and volunteers who helped out last
week at our home game, a great effort and i can truly say was greatly appreciated, today we will hosting the
Close The Gap Round where in first grade all Central Coast Clubs we will be wearing a special indigenous
playing strip to acknowledge Naidoc Week and pay our respects to the local Darkinjung people both past
and present, last week we played the Erina Eagles for a day of mixed results, we all witnessed some great
football in first grade that has been building for some time but today we hope to build in confidence and
build further on last week’s efforts & results.
This year our proud club is in the process of installing and completing a retractable fencing project around
the main oval here at Sohier Park, over the coming week the first signs of construction will be taking place
and will be completed before the end of the footy season, there are some wonderful & exciting opportunities for any businesses wishing to advertise on the retractable fence for 2016 and beyond with ten metre
sections on offer for individual sponsorships, for now please see either Mick Trembath (0408 863 663) or

Tigers NEWS
The Central Coast Cleaning Contractors First Grade Tigers
travelled to Watanobbi Oval to take on Central Wyong who had been unlucky in
their last 2 encounters not to come away with competition points. In the first set
Perry Le Brocque scored in the corner to set the scene for the game. In patches we
played some good football but in other parts we lacked concentration and bombed a few tries due to
poor execution. After leading 20 nil at halftime we continued piling on the points but to Central Wyongs
credit they kept coming at us and were eventually rewarded with a four pointer. There were a few good
performances for the Tigers, Sebastian Vourlos continued to do the hard work up front , Brad Chatfield
had another strong 80 minute game and was also players player and Tim Nawaqatabu who got through
plenty of work in a powerful display off the bench.
Reserve Grade - The Rapid Clean Reserve Grade Tigers defeated Central Wyong 66-6. After a slow
start we somewhat found our feet and began to complete a few sets which led to points. Our ball security will need to improve considerably if we are to compete with competition leaders Wyong this week.
Best for the Tigers were Rhys, Harley, Pat, Liam C and Ryan. We look forward to hosting the Roos at
EDSACC today. Up the Tigers!
Under 19’s - We travelled north to take on Central Wyong knowing we have been way below our
best and if our attitude wasn’t right we could end up with a result that could hurt our Premiership hopes.
Still we shoot ourselves with dropped balls and penalties which we have talked about during the week.
We have to be very disciplined in playing Wyong at home this week to be able to compete with them
in probably our toughest game yet to date. Best on the day was Hayden Scott, Bill Shaw and Jackson
Tillett. We want to wish Central Wyong all the best on the back end of the season. It is good to see they
are still putting teams on the paddock and competing with minimal numbers, it shows a lot of courage.
Cheers. Jurdy

Sharks NEWS
The Sharks travelled to Berkeley Vale on the weekend and in what was a bit of
disappointment for the Sharks only came away with two wins out of the
five games played on the day.
The Sharks Under Nineteens came away with a solid 50 - 10 win over the Panthers after leading 24 - 4
at the break. The Sharks crossed for nine tries in a powerhouse display with Matthew Langhein, Kye
Hopwood and Alex Pohla all crossing for doubles and Michael Jones kicking seven conversions. Best
for the Sharks and Players Player was Jarrett Boland who continues his impressive season and has a
big future in the game, the two points went to a hard running Alex Pohla while the one point went to Kye
Hopwood who controlled the Sharks plays. The Coaches Award went to Lincoln Stanley who dominated
in the rucks and took plenty of stopping.
The Sharks Open Age were well beaten but not disgraced against the Panthers, the Sharks conceded
four tries in either half but put in plenty of effort which has been lacking in a few games. Josh Rodier was
the Sharks best and Players Player as he got through plenty of defence to slow the Panthers attack, the
two points went to Shannon MIller who tries his hardest every game while the one point went to Tom
Spackman who is coming of age as a prop forward. The Coaches Award went to Josh Steele who ran
and tackled strongly.
The Sharks Ladies League Tag side played their best match of the season despite being beaten 14 - 4
by the Panthers. The Sharks scored first with a well weighted kick Brittany Starr kick allowed Maddison
Symington to regather and score. Unfortunately playmaker Starr hurt her ankle shortly afterwards and
left a hole in the Sharks attack but the remainder of the girls rallied and were only just beaten. Best for
the Sharks and Players Player was Renee Maher who ran and tagged strongly, the two points went to
Shannon Higgins who again gave great service to her supports while the one point went to Helaina Wellington who again made plenty of meters with the ball. The Coaches Award went to Maddison Symington
who gives her all each match.
The Sharks Reserves side scored a narrow 22 - 20 win over the Panthers after leading 12 - 10 at the
break. In a back and forth game the Sharks held on to a narrow lead, especially after the sinbinning of
Mitch Johnson, the team dug deep to score a much needed win. Best for the Sharks and the Coaches
Award went to Corey Wheeler who controlled the attack and gave plenty in defence, the two points
and Players Player went to Jack Lentfer who made plenty of meters and gets stronger as the season
progresses while the one point went to Adam McAlister who again monstered the opposition attack.
The Sharks first grade side were out thought and out played by a side more desperate for the two points.
The Panthers capitalised on the Sharks errors and led 22 - 6 at the break until some improvement in the
Sharks effort had the sides score a try a piece in the second half with the Panthers running out winners
28 - 10. Best for the Sharks and Players Player was Chad Sharp who never gave up and drove himself
and the team hard, the two points went to Scott Schreiber who was a handful in attack and defence while
the one point went to Jordan Deaves who continues to have a stellar season. The Coaches award went
to Darcy Gilchrist who got through plenty of work in both attack and defence.

We’re Stegglers for quality
Hi Everyone,
Firstly, I would like to start by paying my respect to the past,
present and the future of the Darkinjung people of who’s land we
are playing on today and wish all teams the very best and hope
you all have a great day.
My name is Ian Naden, I am a very proud Wiradjuri man from
Peak Hill in Western NSW I have been on the coast for 27 years
and class this as my home. I have played rugby league on the coast
with many Aboriginal players that have sadly passed away and this
is why I have organised this round of football so that we can
honour our past and future Aboriginal players and help the
reconciliation process while we are at it.
It is with great anticipation from myself to see this great game of
ours help celebrate the Aboriginal people of this country and I
would like to thank you all for your support in something that I am
so passionate about. I would like to thank the Central Coast
Division Rugby League and all the clubs for allowing me to do this
as well as the people of the Central Coast.
In conclusion, I would like to thank the two main sponsors for
the day Bungree Aboriginal Association Inc and Darkinjung Local
Aboriginal Land Council, if it was not for their support I don’t think
this wonderful spectacle would go ahead.
