CLIMBING
VINE
TEEPEE
This colorful support is a simple, eye-catching way to give climbing
vines like peas, beans, and cucumbers a place to grow. As
an added bonus, the same design can also be used to stake
determinate tomato plants.
Supply Checklist:
PAINT
4 long garden stakes or
bamboo poles (at least 6ft)
non-toxic exterior
wood paint
jute or twine
1.
Paint the stakes with non-toxic
paint. Choose a single color
or a combination to add a
bright pop to your vegetable
garden.
2.
Arrange the poles to form a
square, and push them about
6 inches into the ground to
anchor them in place.
3.
Tie the stakes together at the
top with jute or twine. Continue
wrapping and tying the twine
down the poles to give the
plants climbing material. Plant
climbing veggies like beans,
peas, and cucumbers around
the outside of the teepee and
allow them to grow over the
structure.
