This magazine was
created and written
by the pupils of
English + in 4th
grade.
Whether we are good or not, we all
sing along in the shower when our
favourite tune is playing on the radio.
Some are into R&B, some are fond of
Pop, other love electro, or classical
music.
In this magazine, you will learn more
about your favourite artists, or bands,
maybe you will discover new singers.
We hope you will enjoy our articles, do
not hesitate to listen to your favourite
songs while reading our magazine.

EXO
EXO is a South Korean and
Chinese group who was
originally devided in two subunit : EXO-K(orean) and EXOM(andarin). There were at
first 12 members : D.O, Kai,
SuHo, BaeKhyun, ChanYeol,
SeHun, Lay, Xiumin, Chen,
Tao, LuHan, & Kris, but the
three last ones left the group
not long time ago.
The group made its debut
under SMentertainment with
its album "MAMA" in April
2012. With the same songs,
but in different languages.
They appeared as one group
in 2013.
The fandom's name is EXO-L.
Aya
Adele is my favorite singer. She
has been singing since her
childhood. At the age of sixteen
years old, she wrote her first
song. Then, she began her
career. In 2008, she released an
album
called"19".
This album was sold around the
world. Next, she released another
album called "21".
The main songs are "Rolling in the
Deep"and " Someone like you".
Adele was rewarded for her
songs for example "Rolling in the
Deep".
She was rewarded at the Grammy
Awards. In 2012, she broke many
records. One year later, she was
rewarded for the best song of a
film:"Skyfall" soundtrack of James
Bond.
On the left, the photo represents
Adele and Prince Charles. In fact,
since December 19th 2013, Adele is
a "Member of the Most Excellent
Order of the British Empire" by
Prince Charles. About this meeting,
she said that:"it is an honour to be
recognized and it is a great moment

Imagine Dragons is an
American band they have been
singing since 2008 they come
from Las Vegas in the state of
Nevada.
The members of the group are
Dan Reynolds, Ben McKee,
Wayne Sermon and Daniel
Platzman. Their musical genre
is indie rock and alternative
rock.
One of their song On top of the
world was used for the
soundtrack of the movie
trailer The Croods.

No doubt was created in 1986
in California by Eric Stefani and
John Spence.
Next, Gwen (Eric's sister) and

Eventually, Gwen became the
leader.

In 2012, the band brought out a new
album : Push and Shove from which the
video of Looking Hot has been banned

Fire have already been released.

5th of January in 1988 in
Los Angeles. He is an
american DJ and
electronic composer. He
recorded two albums.
His real name is Sonny
John Moore.

"First of the Year" (a
dubstep music).

My favorite singer is Nicki Minaj (her
real name is Onika Tanya Miraj). She is
an Americain rapper, she was born at
Port of Spain in Republic of Trinidad and
Tobago on the 8 th December 1982. She
started music when she was a child (she
wrote songs). She is part of the Yong
Money(it is a record company created
by a lot of rappers). Her fist album is
Pink Friday, she did the buzz with her
song Super Bass and she became really
famous. Her songs are very good, her
choregraphies are amazing (but too sexy
for me), and her look is really out of the
ordinary: she wears blues wigs, she has
dyed her hair in red... She has won a lot
of awards and her album Pink Friday
has become disc of gold. In 2014 she
came back with her 3 rd album The
Pinkprint and she mainly does the buzz
with her song Anaconda!

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The Neighbourhood is certainly my
favorite band. Formed in 2011, this
American indie rock alternative band
is composed of Jesse Rutherford (the
singer), Zach Abels (the guitarist),
Mikey Margott who plays bass guitar
and Jeremy Friedman who is doing
backing vocals. They have already
released two albums called I Love You
and #000000&#FFFFFF. I love them
because their music is unique and very
original. I even think that I haven't got
a favorite song because I love all of
them. But the most popular is Sweater
Weather or I can't even. I've already
been to one of their concerts and it was
one of the greatest nights in my life.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Today, we meet the members of a band we all love, The
Neighbourhood. Formed in 2011, this band from
California is the author of the famous song Sweather
Weather included in the album I Love You. and they
have already been all over the world for concerts and
festivals like Coachella. They told us everything about
their music carreer and even more.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Why did you start music together
?
Mikey : We were all playing music on
our own and we were all friends. We
were all from the same high school. To
be honest, we just started our band to
get some money and be cool.
We always see you wearing black
and white in concerts, interwiews
even in your videos on YouTube.
Why ?
Jesse : Well, a lot of journalists asked
us the same question and I know how
weird it is but I would lie if I told you
that there is a meaning in fact we have
always appeared in black and white
because there is nobody else. Black
and white is just us and what we are. It
is kind of our theme.
There is something distinctly SoCal about The
Neighbourhood. How would you say that
being from Southern California influences
your music and style?
Facebook or Twitter ?
Zack : Twitter. I love birds.
Instagram or Snapchat ?
Jesse : OH SNAPCHAT ! I really love Snapchat. The
fans can even see the entire band working on the
studio via Snapchat and I think that this is why I
really love this social network.
What was your favorite place to play ?
Zack : It is such an hard question to answer...
Mikey : I would say... Home. But I remember that
the concert in Stockholm in Sweden was really huge.
Jesse : The fans in Amsterdam are really special but
I really enjoyed all the concerts that we did during the
tour.
Can you explain the meaning of your logo : an
eye in a triangle, a heart and a triangle ?
Your favorite meal ?
Jesse : OBVIOUSLY PIZZA !

now. She is known for her various
musical style. Her first album solo

was a member of "the destiny's
child". I love her songs because they
are very rythmical.

She was born in 1983, in England and
she died in 2011.

R'n'B.
Her career began in 2003 and it
finished in 2011, when she died, at the
age of 27 years old.
In 2003, she recorded her first album :
"Frank". It was a big success.
Thanks to her second album "Back to
black" recorded in 2006, she won
prizes.
Her famous songs are : "Back to
black", "Rehab" and "You know I'm no
good", released in 2006.
She died because all her life she was
depressive and a drug-addict.
Physically, she had her own style : a lot
of make-up, a big bun and many
tatoos.
Two years ago, I saw her wax statue, in
Mme Tussaud's museum. I love her
style.

Eminem. Don't you know him?! He
is a very famous American rapper,
the king of Hip-Hop. Eminem was
born in 1972, real name Marshall
Bruce Mathers III. He is 42 years
old and continues rapping! Eminem
is one of the biggest albums seller*
in the world; despite the renown*
and the success he remains himself.
His songs are not commercial as
other popular singers : no love or
simple provocations, but a criticism
of American society. He writes
alone each song! Moreover he often
promotes young artists, singing
with Rihanna in Love The Way
You Lie a few years ago or recently
with Sia. Eminem gives many time
and money in charities* and that's
great!
