Journey for a Lifetime
Balmoral Hall School - March 2014
On 19 March 2014, 17 students from Balmoral Hall School, Winnipeg, Canada, departed for Warsaw, Poland.
After a welcoming visit at the Canadian Embassy and a busy 24 hours taking in the culture and history of the
Polish capital they took the train to Berlin, Germany, where they were fully immersed in this economically
powerful city. On March 23 they returned to Warsaw to begin their work and the students split into 3 groups,
each spending the next 7 days travelling across Poland to meet a combined number of 48 terminally-ill children
in their homes to personally deliver their humble wishes. The students brought joy and happiness not only to the
children and their families but also to countless other sick children and their caregivers who they met in hospitals.
They would change the lives of many - including their own - and we would like to share this photo extract of their
