A MESSAGE FROM F.I.A.O.
Dear Friends,
Thank you for supporting the Federation of Italian-American
Organizations of Brooklyn and the community which it serves by
participating in our 5th annual golf outing, The F.I.A.O. Classic.
The revenue generated by your generous support contributes
significantly to realizing the dream of the first ever Italian-American
Community Cultural Center in Brooklyn, “Il Centro”. When
completed, the Center will house offices for social services, an
auditorium, library, classrooms, and meeting spaces for cultural
organizations; a gymnasium, swimming pool and a fitness center.
The Center will contribute to and enhance the rich cultural diversity
of our community in New York City. “Il Centro”, a beautiful 5 story
building, will be the flagship Italian-American cultural center in
the United States. Il Centro will help us expand existing programs
and develop exciting new programs in a way in which our founders
could only dream. It will repersent a beacon of Italian heritage
for years to come. Our rich history and present industriousness
will serve as a constant reminder for future generations of Italian
Americans.
Our sincerest gratitude goes out to each of you for your
continued support. Special thanks to the members of the committee,
our sponsor Manfredi Auto Group, El Caribe Catering, and all
volunteers for organizing such an enjoyable and productive outing.
Sempre Avanti,
The Federation
