Giving back – one day at a time
Our team are big fans of volunteering.
Everyone at Telecom has one paid volunteer
day each year. How they use it, is up to them.
In the last year, our team have helped with
beach clean-ups, created public walkways
for nature reserves, organised knit-a-thons
and more.
So if you know a school, charity or
community group that needs some help, go
to telecomfoundation.org.nz to let us know
what you need and we’ll see what we can do.
What can you do with mobile data?
If you have a mobile phone, chances are your plan gives you mobile data.
But lots of people ask questions about how they can use it. So here are
some easy answers.
Tips on making the most of mobile data
You can do almost anything online with your mobile. The amount of data
you use depends on what you’re doing. Some things, like checking email
and web browsing, only use a little data, while others, like music and video,
use more. That’s why many people save mobile data by connecting their
mobiles to their home broadband using WiFi. Watch the video to find out
how at telecom.co.nz/connectingwifi
How to keep track of your mobile data?
If you have a Telecom mobile, you can go to m.telecom.co.nz/yt from your
mobile for free to find out how much you’ve used. Also look out for a text
alert when you’re close to your monthly limit. For another how-to video,

The Z10 is packed with great features – like the unique TimeShift camera which is
perfect for capturing large groups, especially children who may have trouble sitting
still! TimeShift takes a rapid series of images and lets you isolate the faces, which you
can “fast forward” or “rewind” to find the best facial expressions.
Be one of the first in New Zealand to own one. Just go to telecom.co.nz/intouch
before 10 July and tell us, what fruit is this mobile named after?
