Contact Layer Wound Dressings with TRIACT Technology
Contact Layer Wound Dressings
with TRIACT Technology
An Innovative Solution
in Advanced Wound Care
TRIACT Technology is a scientific formulation used in select RESTORE wound care dressings. These advanced dressings are designed to form a moist wound
healing environment. RESTORE contact layer dressings can be used for the treatment of many chronic and acute wounds.
Provides a Moist Wound Interface
Virtually Pain-Free Removal
Reduces Trauma to Delicate Tissue
The lipido-colloid matrix
contains CMC particles which form a gel
in the presence of exudate, providing a moist
healing interface between the wound
and the dressing.
Upon contact with exudate,
a protective gel forms, minimizing patient pain
during dressing changes.
The lipido-colloid formulation
helps prevent the dressing from
adhering to delicate tissue, minimizing
trauma upon removal.
Contact Layer FLEX Dressing
Virtually Pain-Free Removal and Conformability
RESTORE Contact Layer FLEX dressing with TRIACT Technology is flexible and conformable to adapt
comfortably to a wide variety of low to moderately exuding wounds. The dressing can also be used in
conjunction with an absorbent secondary dressing for more heavily exuding wounds.
• Non-Adherent
Virtually pain-free dressing removal for enhanced patient comfort
• Maintains a Moist Wound Interface
Forms a gel in the presence of exudate
• Ultra-Flexible
Comfortable for the patient during application and while in place
• Highly Conformable
Can be shaped to fit contours of deep or irregular wounds, and in difficult anatomical locations
• Easy to Apply
The dressing’s gentle tack helps keep it in place over the wound
• Cost Effective
May remain in place for up to seven days, which can result in fewer dressing changes
Indications
Partial to full thickness acute and chronic wounds including:
Second degree burns Surgical wounds
Pressure ulcers
Skin tears
Venous stasis ulcers
Minor abrasions, lacerations and burns
Diabetic ulcers
Wounds associated with epidermolysis bullosa (EB)
Can also be used in conjunction with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT)
Contact Layer Dressing with Silver
An Antimicrobial Option for Contact Layers
RESTORE Contact Layer dressing with Silver is an effective, versatile and simple way to manage
wound bioburden.
• Incorporates Non-Adherent TRIACT Technology
Makes dressing removal virtually pain-free and helps minimize damage to newly formed tissue
• Antimicrobial Effect
Effective against bacteria and fungus most frequently associated with wound infections,
including:
MRSA (strain ATCC 43300)
Staphylococcus aureus
Streptococcus pyogenes
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (pyocyanic bacillus)
Enterococcus faecalis VRE
Escherichia coli
Candida albicans
• Sustained Silver Release
Demonstrates sustained antibacterial activity for up to seven days in in-vitro studies, which is
beyond indicated wear time*
• Simple
The dressings do not need to be activated with saline or sterile water.
Indications
The barrier functions of RESTORE Contact Layer dressing with Silver may help reduce infection in
low to moderately exuding partial and full thickness wounds, including:
First and second degree burns
Pressure ulcers
Venous stasis ulcers
Diabetic ulcers
Graft and donor sites

in the wound.
Contact Layer Dressings: effective, comfortable, versatile.
Effective
• 100% non-occlusive, fine polyester mesh helps avoid maceration and allows exudate to pass through into outer absorbent layers without sticking
Conventional Dressing
Without TRIACT Technology
• Lipido-colloid formulation promotes non-adherence, and helps prevent disruption of the healing process during dressing removal
Comfortable
• Dressings do not adhere to wounds which minimizes pain at dressing changes
• In a comprehensive survey, 95% of patients with acute wounds said RESTORE contact layer dressings with TRIACT Technology were less painful than other dressings.1
Restore Contact Layer FLEX Dressing
with TRIACT Technology
Versatile
• Flexible filaments allow the dressing to conform to a variety of wound types and body contours
• Dressings with TRIACT Technology are non-greasy and easy to apply and remove
• RESTORE Contact Layer FLEX can be used in conjunction with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
RESTORE Contact Layer Dressings with TRIACT Technology
conform to wounds and are easily removed.
