The Clarkson Honeyfest is a three-day celebration of one of nature’s
sweetest gifts. With rides for the whole family, great food, music, and 5k,
the entire town of Clarkson comes out to welcome the guests of Honeyfest. BEE sure to make plans to visit Clarkson during the Honeyfest. Held
the last weekend in September in Clarkson.

The Highway 54 Yard Sale has become a yearly event that occurs
once during the spring (Derby Weekend) and once during the Fall

Located on Hwy 259 South and offers 4,000 feet of paved,
lighted airstrip with tie-downs and aviation fuel available. It
has a comfortable lobby and shuttle service to nearby Legacy Golf Course. “Fly & Play” packages are available.

Rough river lake
A dam was built on Rough River to help control flooding in the Ohio
River Valley. The dam is 135 feet high, 1,500 feet long and 819 feet
wide at the base. Rough River Lake covers 5,000 acres, with a shoreline of 221 miles. Fishing in Rough River Lake includes bass, bluegill,
catfish, crappie, rough fish, and walleye.
Rough River Dam State Resort Park has a lodge with rooms,
cottages, marina, and campgrounds with electricity and water

Nolin river lake
The 5,795 acre Nolin River Lake provides recreational opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, camping, picnicking, hunting,
and relaxing. With miles of scenic shoreline and cool, clear water,
Nolin is the perfect summer getaway. The lake has an abundance
of bass, catfish, crappie and walleye for great fishing.
Moutardier Marina has cabin rentals and scenic campsites. Please

Rough River Airport 30
Located at Rough River Dam State Park and offers 3,200 feet
of paved, lighted airstrip with tie-downs and aviation fuel
available. It has a shuttle service to the lodge and aviators
who prefer can camp near their aircraft at the airport air
camp which has a central service building with showers and
restrooms.
U.S. Army corps of engineers
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has three campsites on
Nolin River Lake (270) 286-4511 and four on Rough River
Lake (270) 257-2061.
