Position Description:
The cook position is to assist the Chef and Sous Chef in preparing menu items to order.
Checks with Chef for all the menu of the day items, room service, and restaurant menu items and areas of responsibility as to
the amount of prep, quality of product, and cleanliness of area.
Maintain a solid knowledge of all food products and is able to skillfully apply culinary techniques.
Stocks both food products and equipment, cleans, sets, and prepares service area
First in First Out (FIFO) procedures
Maintains good cleaning habits throughout the area of assignment
Maintains and strictly abides y State sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements
Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost
Checks with supervisor regarding condition of station at the end of shift
Assists in all areas of the kitchen
Adheres to apperance, attendance, and punctuality expectations and standards as communicated verbally and/or written
Performs other related duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Sous Chef
Must have cooking experience and knife skills. Must present a clean & neat appearance. Closed-toed shoes, Only natural hair
color. Facial hair to be neat, ear piercings for girls only. No visible tattoos.

It is possible for participants to obtain a second job, but the second job must not interfere with the schedule for your job at Ashworth
by the Sea.
Intrax participants are not permitted to work a second job without first receiving approval from Intrax.
Required Duties:
Practice safety standards at all times.
Know all hotel specific emergency procedures.
Comply with federal laws and break periods
Comply with Retention, Standard Operating Procedures and daily responsibilities
Assist team with training, supplies, and support in order to consistently provide a quality guest room and public areas.
Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the
employee handbook.
Skills Required:
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 40 pounds or less without
assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping.
Uniform provided by employer. Employees will need to purchase black skid-resistant shoes.

Fly into Logan Airport in Boston and take the C&J Bus to Portsmouth, NH. C&J has stops at each terminal in the airport. Try to
purchase your tickets online at http://www.ridecj.com/ . After you arrive at the Portsmouth Transportation Center, you will need to
travel 20 minutes to Hampton.
Ashworth by the Sea MAY be able to pick you up from Portsmouth. Please email Lisa ( [email protected]) at least 2 weeks
before your arrival, and a shuttle may be able to give you a ride. This is not guaranteed. If you cannot take the shuttle, you will need to
take a taxi to your pre-arranged housing.
