HOW TO GET TO SIENA
The South Tuscany Business innovation centre Eurobic will do its best to provide two
shuttles per day on Wednesday, 19 October, and Friday, 21 October (one in the
morning and on in the afternoon). We will provide a schedule as soon as we have
received more information of participants’ arrival. For the proper organisation of this service,
accurate and timely information on your travelling details is crucial.
BY PLANE
There is no international airport in Siena; participants have the possibility to arrive
either through Florence or Pisa.
From Florence Airport
The nearest airport is Florence Airport. There is a bus shuttle about every 45 min to train
station Santa Maria Novella in Florence, from where a train leaves to Siena every hour. The
train journey takes about 1 h 28 min.
The price for a one-way ticket (2nd class) from Florence to Siena is € 6,30. Tickets can be
bought on the train station or online.

From Galileo Galilei International Airport in Pisa
Galileo Galilei International Airport is a low-cost airport frequented by EasyJet, Germanwings
or Ryanair. A bus connects Pisa Airport with Siena daily. Tickets can be bought from the
information office in the passenger terminal. The price is about 14,00€. The bus stop is
located just outside the Airport Arrival area.

BY TRAIN
Siena can be reached by train from both Pisa and Florence; sometimes the train has to be
changed in Empoli. Siena’s railway station is about 2km from the historic city centre and is
easily accessible by bus. The bus stop is on the parking of the mall in front of the railway
station; there is also a taxi station available in front of the railway station.
Tickets can be bought online; an English booking version is available. The following credit
cards are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, and American Express.

To get to the conference venue from the railway station, take the bus lines 3 or 12 and get off
at Antonio Gramsci square.
BY CAR:
If you arrive by car, you should be aware that almost no traffic is permitted within the city
centre, but several large car parks are located outside the city walls. The “Stadio Fortezza” is
closest to the centre.
Siena is linked to Florence by a “superstrada” / superhighway( the Raccordo Autostradale
RA03 – Siena-Firenze), a form of toll free autostrada.
