THE CALL TO WORSHIP
Minister: I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes
its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.
People: O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt God’s name together.
Minister: I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Look to Him, and be
radiant; so your faces shall never be ashamed.
.
People: O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt God’s name together.
Minister: This poor soul cried, and was heard by the Lord, and was saved from every trouble. The angel of
the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them.
People: O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt God’s name together.
Minister: O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in Him. O fear the Lord, you
His holy ones, for those who fear Him have no want.
People: O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt God’s name together.
Minister: The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Come, O
children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. .
People: Come let us worship the Triune God together.

THE HYMN OF PRAISE……………………………………………………………....A.M.E. Hymn # 21 - To God Be the Glory
1.
To God be the glory, great things He hath done; So loved He the world that He gave His Son, Who yielded
His life an atonement for sin, And opened the life gate that all may go in.
REFRAIN: Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let
people rejoice! O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory, great things He
hath done.
2.
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To every believer the promise of God; The vilest offender
who truly believes, That moment from Jesus, a pardon receives.
~~REFRAIN~~
3.
Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the
Son; But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

THE SUMMARY OF THE DECALOGUE
And Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your
mind. This is the great and first commandment. And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. On
these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.

OUR PREACHERS THIS MORNING
Rev. George W. Davis retired Itinerate Minister having been
ordained in the Atlanta North Georgia Conference of the African Methodist
Episcopal Church and pastored 4 years as a young minister in the conference
before moving to New York City. Rev. Davis pastored St. Paul Community
Church in New York City for 27 years.
After moving back to Atlanta, Rev. Davis volunteered as chaplain for the Big
Bethel Prison Ministry for 15 years. Rev. Davis is an active member in good and
regular standing here at Big Bethel AME Church.
Rev. Lairalaine Morgan White is an Itinerate Elder in the African
Methodist Episcopal Church. As a native Atlantan, she has always had a
commitment to public service and activism/social justice for at-risk
youth. Her affiliations include the National Association for Business and
Professional Women, YouthSpark, Street Grace, National Association for the
Education of Young Children, the American Counseling Association and Delta
Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. After accepting the call into ministry in 1996, the
spirit directed her to dedicate her service to the ministry of church and
community development with an emphasis on church growth, mission and
evangelism.
In the summer of 2002, Reverend White assisted in the planning of a conference sponsored by the
World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts that focused on the social and spiritual
development of women in the Caribbean culture. In 2002, she developed and facilitated a workshop
on Evangelism and Church Growth in the Jamaica Conference of the 16th Episcopal District of the
AME Church. In addition to the 2005 development of LMW Ministries, 2010 gave birth to The
Evermore Group, Inc. which is an organization dedicated to developing communities through a
relationship with a consortium of churches across the state of Georgia. The main work of Evermore
provides a series of outreach opportunities and wellness workshops and features our Gift Retreat
which is an annual event focused on providing awareness on various aspects of health and wellness.
Since 2010, in addition to a 20 year career working with at-risk families and youth, she joined the
cause of homelessness and the eradication of Atlanta's domestic sex trafficking by accepting a position
with Covenant House of Georgia's Rites of Passage Program and also providing direct care services at
the Center for Children and Young Adults and Wellspring for Living.
Reverend White holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Texas Southern University, a
Masters of Divinity in Church Administration and Leadership from the Henry McNeil Turner
Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia and a candidate for both
Masters of Arts in Psychology and Community Counseling from Argosy University and the Doctorate
in Ministry from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
