Caistorville is located in the Township of West Lincoln which lies within the Golden Horseshoe and is located on the Niagara Escarpment. The Township is situated on the western border of the region, south of Lake Ontario and north of Lake
Erie, and is centrally positioned between Niagara and Hamilton and is an amalgamation of the former townships of South
Grimsby, Caistorville and Gainsborough. Many rural clusters and hamlet communities also lie within the town’s boundaries. The population of West Lincoln is ±13,837.
The primary economic activity within the Township is Agriculture or agriculture-related activities, with Construction,
Transportation and warehousing, other services (except public administration), and Professional, scientific and technical
services rounding out the top five.
Climate: Spring in the Niagara Region is fairly cool with average temperatures between 1 and 23 degrees Celsius. Summers average highs of 26 and lows of 15 degrees Celsius. September and October can boast fairly mild temperatures
averaging between 11 and 13 degrees. The course is closed during the winter months due to frost and snow. The average
season length varies between 6 and 8 months.
