Principal’s Report
Mrs Williams
Mrs Williams has spent the majority of the Christmas holidays in hospital. She is still quite ill and
hopefully will return home shortly. We all wish her a speedy recovery.
Kindy start
On Monday and Tuesday we welcomed our new kindergarten students for 2016.
This year we welcomed 88 students to kindergarten and I would like to wish both the students and
their families well as we start our journey for the next 7 years.
School Enews
At the end of 2015 the school trialed a new app which also manages emails to parents and has the
ability to broadcast messages to specific grades or groups. If you would like to receive messages
via the new app, instructions are included in the newsletter.
By visiting the school website and following the Enews Notes (School Enews ) parents will be able
to subscribe to email updates.
Swimming Carnival
Our Swimming Carnival is on next Wednesday 10th February at Riverstone Pool. Permission
notes have been sent home this week and are also available on the school website.
P&C Meeting
This Thursday night we will hold our first P&C Meeting for 2016. Meeting will take place in the
staffroom at 7.30pm and everyone is most welcome.
Evacuation Sites
Every school has an evacuation plan and within that plan are two or three identified evacuation
sites, usually in increasing distance from the school. For RHPS the first site is the school oval
followed by the grounds of Aberdoon House on Aberdour Ave. If instructed by emergency
services the next closet offsite evacuation point is Russell Reserve (Second Ponds) on Withers Road
followed by Rouse Hill High School.
