The weather conditions in Cancun
The average annual temperature of Cancun and the Riviera Maya is 25.5 degrees Celsius (78 degrees Fahrenheit), with fluctuations of 5 to 7 degrees. But frequently daytime highs range into the eighties and overnight lows will see the high fifties and low sixties. From November to April, there are usually blue skies and a cool northern wind. The climate changes are minimal in this area, so visitors should always pack clothes for swimming and warm weather. A light jacket, shawl or sweater is advisable for the evenings of November, December and January. To and from the Airport
There are a lot of transportation options to get into Cancun from the International airport. Bus, taxi, shuttle services are available throughout the day. Agriculture and Rural Development Day (ARDD) 2010
4 December 2010, 8:30 am – 6.30 pm Gran Melia Hotel, Cancún ARDD 2010 will be held at the Gran Melia Hotel, Cancun. The plenary session will take place at the Salon Del Prado Ballroom and will start at 9.00am. An updated programme of ARDD2010 can be found at www.agricultureday.org Registration of participants will be open from 8.00am at the Lanzarote Foyer. Please register early to collect your event name badge and event kit. Morning tea and coffee will be provided. Launch of the Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security,
the new CGIAR Consortium Research Programme 4 December 2010, 6:45 pm Poolside, Gran Melia Hotel, Cancún The new programme will be formally launched after Agriculture and Rural Development Day (ARDD) in Cancún, Mexico. CCAFS is a strategic partnership between the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR Consortium Research Programme 7) and the Earth Systems Science Partnership (ESSP). Forest Day 4
5 December 2010, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Cancún Convention Center Forest Day 4 will take place on 5 December 2010 alongside the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 16th Conference of the Parties in Cancún, Mexico at the Cancún Convention Center. Forest Day 4 is hosted by the Government of Mexico, through the National Forestry Commission, the Collaborative Partnership on Forests and CIFOR.
