OUR FACILITIES
STIDD Systems, Inc. occupies a 1.5 acre
shipyard with 62,000 square feet of
computerized manufacturing facilities,
design and administrative offices located
on the Greenport, Long Island harbor,
approximately 90 statute miles due east
of New York City and 16 nautical miles
southwest of New London, CT.
STIDD Systems' facility has been in
continuous use as a shipyard since 1831.
In World War I, the shipyard built 60 ft.
patrol boats, and during World War II, the
yard set Navy production records,
delivering 440 136 ft. minesweepers and
1,100 landing craft with a labor force of
7,500 workers on three shifts.
STIDD Systems opened its Submersible
Boat

DPD
MODEL
RANGE
Depending on the mission and conditions, Operators
may need different combinations of Speed, Range, and
Payload Capacity. STIDD now offers an expanded
lineup of 3 different DPD Models that will fit any
profile. All models have the same proven and reliable
standard DPD Dimensions and US Navy Certifications.
STANDARD DPD
The STIDD Diver Propulsion Device (DPD) is the most widely used
military-grade underwater mobility platform in the world. The
DPD enables divers to travel farther and faster with more payload
than previously possible with any other diver propulsion device.

STANDARD DPD EXTENDED RANGE
With the addition of a second High Capacity “MUSCLES”
Lithium-Ion Battery System, the Standard DPD with Extended
Range Option effectively doubles the Range.

P Same Dimensions & Certifications as Standard DPD
DUAL THRUSTER DPD-XT
The DPD with Dual Thruster (DPD-XT) provides operators not only
additional speed and range, but also two independently
redundant propulsion systems. The DPD-XT maintains all of the
Standard DPD’s exterior dimensions and certifications. The DPDXT utilizes two (2) standard DPD batteries which power two (2)
standard DPD thrusters. For missions that require extended
speed and range, the Dual Thruster DPD is an ideal platform.

Electric Propulsion
Standard DPD propulsion is a 26VDC
steerable electric thruster powered by a
“MUSCLES” Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery
system. The electronic “Battery Status
Indicator” continually monitors battery
condition and displays time remaining.
DPD-XT features dual 26VDC electric
thrusters powered by two “MUSCLES”
battery systems.
Maximum performance with minimum
maintenance are two main benefits from
STIDD “MUSCLES” Technology, “Massive
Unit Small Cell Lithium Energy System”.
Developed to give the DPD a better
performing, more reliable, higher value,
virtually maintenance-free power source,
the DPD Lithium-Ion Battery System
utilizes rigid cylinder lithium-cobalt cells the most advanced, most mature cell
technology available. Each “MUSCLES”
battery consists of cells arranged in series
and parallel arrays, monitored by
proprietary control, balancing and safety
circuits.
The DPD Lithium-Ion Advantage
• NAVSEA 9310 Certified.
• May be shipped via commercial cargo aircraft.

Standard
Navigation System
The DPD is equipped with a depth gauge,
magnetic compass, and light stick tube
which illuminates both instruments. The
DPD may be fitted with a sophisticated
electronic navigation system, including
SONAR and Doppler Capabilities. See
Recon-Navigation System upgrade on
page 6.
The STIDD Li-Ion Battery Charger must be
used for charging the DPD “MUSCLES”
Li-ion Battery. The DPD charger utilizes a
precision switching power supply and a
highly-accurate proprietary charging
protocol.
• Sets up easily in seconds.
• Weighs 37 lbs. (17kg) in carrying case.
• Dust & Waterproof to IP67 Standards.
(Should not be transported
underwater!)
• Fully charges the battery in less than
8 hours.
• Same "Set & Forget" simplicity as a
cordless drill.
• GREEN LED illuminates when charging
is completed.
• Universal Input Power: 90-230 VAC,
50-60 Hz.
• Partial cycles are cumulative.
No “memory” effect.
• Best overall performance and economy of any
electric propulsion system.
• US & International Patents Issued & Pending.
Extended Range Option
When ordered, a second “MUSCLES”
Li-Ion Battery may be connected with the
optional B-Link Adapter Kit and carried
as cargo for extended range operation.
DEEP SUBMERGENCE
DPD (DS) Option now available
For missions that require operating depths
below 41 meters, STIDD now offers the
DPD with a Deep Submergence option
enabling operations below 80 meters.

WITH DOPPLER
RNAV is an innovative advanced electronic
navigation system, providing enhanced
situational awareness for the DPD.
The RNAV offers the combat diver precise surface
and submerged moving map navigation and
bottom scanning sonar via dual displays
ergonomically positioned to reduce fatigue and
workload. Displayed information includes:
position, heading, course, speed over ground,
calibration quality, routing waypoints & tracking,
depth to bottom with bottom contours, depth
below surface and leg and mission timers. This
information is displayed on two displays each
independently controlled.
Integrated into a proprietary STIDD pressure
container with gloved hand push button interface,
RNAV provides DPD operators the convenience
and confidence of a proven, MOTS, electronic
navigation system.

• Pinpoint accuracy reduces navigation errors and maximizes
battery endurance.
• Global map coverage allows for full spectrum of
mission planning
and execution.
• Self-contained system is ready for mounting into the DPD, in a
neutrally buoyant configuration to maximize DPD efficiency.
• Utilizes the on-board DPD “MUSCLES” battery for reliable operation
with low power draw.
•
“Hot” start GPS position acquisition in under 10 seconds, signal
re-acquisition in less than 1 second.
• Proprietary “Live Reckoning” on-board processor continues to update the
moving map LAT/LONG position in the absence of a GPS signal using
Doppler Velocity Log (DVL), heading sensor, and ultrasonic speed sensor
data.
• Automatic switching between GPS and “Live Reckoning” depending on
sensor data quality minimizes position errors.
• Digital depth sensor with selectable frequencies monitors and
displays bottom contours, depth to bottom, and water temperature.
6
• High accuracy pressure transducer displays digital
depth below surface to the diver.
REMOTE CARD READER for RNAV
enables pre-mission planning and post-mission data
exchange between RNAV and a PC, as well as rapid
upload of any C-Map nautical chart worldwide.
