Heart of Taunton Façade Grants
awarded to five companies
The Heart of Taunton
Facade Program recently
awarded façade
grants to the following businesses:
• Pro-Home, Inc.
• Foreman’s
• Roma’s
• Off Broadway
• Homes For Our Troops
The Facade Grant program
funds projects for all qualified
applicants for exterior renovations
to their properties
including, paint,
windows, doors,
awnings and signs.
These improvements help revitalize downtown Taunton and
boost economic development.

The Taunton Area Chamber
of Commerce is holding its 11th
Annual Women’s Golf Outing
on Friday, August 23, 2013.
It will be held at The Back
Nine Club, 17 Heritage
Hill Drive in Lakeville.
Registration
begins at 7:45
a.m. The course
will be played in a
scramble format,
with a shotgun
start at 8:30 a.m. The
cost is $100 per player
or $360 per foursome
and includes green fees,
½ cart, lunch, and a gift
bag. You can sign up
as a single, twosome,
threesome, or foursome. There
will be prizes on various holes and
also raffle drawings. The golf
outing is a great opportunity to have fun while networking.
If you choose not to
golf, you can also
contribute by
sponsoring a hole
($100), donating
a prize item or
gift certificate, or
providing 50 items for
the players’ goody bags.

Commerce is holding its 15th Annual
Businesswomen’s Celebration on
Thursday, September 19, 2013 from
4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Holiday
Inn Taunton. It is sponsored by
Taunton Federal Credit Union.
This event begins with displays of
various products and services geared
toward women. Dinner will be served
at 6:00 p.m. Last year’s event drew over
150 people.
Exhibit tables are available for $75
for Chamber Members and $95 for
Non-Members. An 8-foot table, 1-2
