«The best thing about the MBA is the methodology used throughout the program. It is extremely
interesting how students are guided, but not taught. This means, teachers give us guidelines,
and students are the ones that do the research. In other words, Glion gives MBA students the
tools to learn and conduct research about anything they need or want to. Due to the good job
offers I have been receiving, I may confirm that Glion was a very valuable investment for my
future. It allowed me to even skip levels in the job hierarchy.»

The Internship Semester
Internships add a critically important dimension to a postgraduate
education. You will have the chance to practice the operational and
management skills you learned on campus and deepen your practical
knowledge and understanding of the industry.
Your internship can also be a good opportunity to improve your
foreign language skills, which are increasingly essential in today’s
global economy.
Of course, Glion internships are also door openers. Many employers
offer permanent positions to interns who impress them. Without
question, the real-world success of Glion graduates is accelerated by
their internships.
At the end of the academic program, students in both diploma tracks
complete a one-semester internship in the industry. Hospitality students
will gain work experience with an international hospitality brand, while
ESE students will advance their skills by planning, organizing, and
managing events of all kinds for Glion’s real-world industry partners.

«I did my first internship at Sochi during the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. That was an unforgettable
experience with a lot of hard work but even more memorable moments! I worked for iLUKA,
a specialized event agency that provides strategies, planning, and operational fulfillment for
sponsors and other stakeholders at global events. I was responsible for welcoming, hosting,
and guiding guests around Sochi and Olympic venues. My personal goal was to exceed guest
expectations and make sure they were getting an unforgettable Olympic experience. This
internship allowed me to see myself as a part of such a global event as the Olympic games,
and it proved to me that hospitality is the industry I want to grow within! It was fun, and there
were a lot of Glion students and alumni all around, so I felt supported by the Glion family».

«The reason we come to recruit at Glion is because Glion has
such a great reputation in Switzerland and around the world
for attracting great students to study their variety of courses.
The courses are well suited to the industry, in particular to the
luxury industry, which is what we're a part of, so we chose
to partner with Glion for the caliber of their courses and the
caliber of their students.
Students from all schools bring talent and a variety of skills to
the hospitality industry. The difference with Glion students is
that they have a very good balance between their practical skills
and theoretical skills, which some of the other hotel schools
may not focus on as much. It's the mixture of skills from the
service side, and the management theory which makes Glion
of particular interest to Ritz-Carlton».
