ANGEL OF LIGHT (2 CORINTHIANS 11:14)

This study is looking at scripture’s warning about how Satan transforms
himself into an Angel of light. In view of today’s confusion of new age
gospels, effeminate and counterfeit angels, spirit guides and
apparitions, it is imperative that we pay attention to this warning.
Please join us in this important study of 2 Corinthians 11:14.
Greg: Now, up to this point in 2nd Corinthians, Paul had been dealing
with the fact that there were some guys trying to say that he wasn’t a
real apostle; and there are people out there who will tell you that your
pastor is not a real pastor (points to himself). So what do you do? You
test them by the word of God.
One of the reasons people say that I am not a real pastor is because I
don’t belong to a denomination. The funny thing is, that no one in that
book (points to Bible) belonged to a denomination (“Amen’s” from
group). That’s the truth. Some people will say I am not a real pastor
because I didn’t graduate from seminary…not one of the twelve
apostles graduated from seminary. As a matter of fact, I personally
think you are disqualified from being a pastor if you do graduate from
seminary and don’t renounce most of what you learned. Because most
of what you are learning in those seminaries is not God’s word, it is the
teachings of men.
Paul then says, when you see these guys and they claim to be preachers
of righteousness, he then says in verse 14:
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Satan is false, but transforms himself to look like he is true. I want to
tell you right now, no matter who you are, no matter what you
background, no matter how studied you may be; if you think that
something that is light, bright, fluffy, happy and positive is
automatically from God, then you are set for destruction. You are ready
for the fall because there are plenty of light, bright, fluffy things that
are of the devil.
For example; how many men fall into adultery with someone who isn’t
physically beautiful and charming? How many women leave their
husbands for someone they don’t see as a good man who, “Loves me
like my husband doesn’t love me anymore.” You see, Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light, and I want you to think about the
fact that he is transformed. Satan is a master of disguise; and by the
way, he wasn’t and isn’t a serpent…but he became a serpent in the
Garden of Eden. He can be what he wants to be when he wants to be in
order to draw people away from God and destroy them.
Originally, Satan was a supreme Cherub in Heaven, not an angel…there
are different levels of angelic beings and he was a Cherub. You will find
this described in Ezekiel 28. Ezekiel 28, Ezekiel speaks beginning with a
lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, but in prophetic utterance, he
changes his focus from the immediate to the future and to the
prophetic. Let’s look at Ezekiel 28:11-12:
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man,
take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and
perfect in beauty.
That “…sealest up the sum…” means he is a complete creation. He was
complete, full of wisdom perfect in beauty. Do you think he was talking
about the king of Tyrus there? No, he wasn’t. This is what we call a Dual
Fulfillment.
In other words, it has an immediate prophetic fulfillment; the king of
Tyrus was being spoken to, but there was also this future prophetic
fulfillment. So we go back and see in verse 13:
Thou has been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was
thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx,
and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold:
the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee
in the day that thou wast created.
So we can see by the beginning of the verse he is not only speaking to
or specifically about the King of Tyrus. He has now shifted his focus to
someone who was in Eden. Now other than Adam, Eve and the Lord
Himself, there is only one other being specified as being in that garden;
and that was the serpent, but that was the serpent the devil. The
serpent was what he had come to be in a form of disguise.
Now, today when we think of serpent, we think of slimy snakes on their
belly, but if you go back and read, that was the result of Satan
becoming a serpent; God changed the actual nature of that serpent
from what appears to have been a beautiful, upright, speaking being
and turned it into what we see now. Originally the serpent wasn’t what
we see today, and Satan took the form of that serpent.
Look back at Ezekiel 13 and listen to how he was described and tell me
if you think is beautiful or ugly:
”…every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the
diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the
emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets
(Greg: that is like symbols or tambourines) and of thy pipes (Greg: you
may think of the pipe organ) was prepared in thee in the day that thou
wast created.”
Now, I don’t want to make somebody mad here, but there is a reason
why so many of your secular singers and musicians cover themselves in
all kinds of stones, gold and silver…and it talks about the tabrets and
pipes being in him. In other words, the music that he was actually able
to create out of his own being: Lucifer was the original rock star. Amen.
You can almost picture Elvis here, I’m sorry, but when he would put on
that getup with all the rhinestones and everything on it…and he had
some pipes! (Quiet laughter)
But, you get the picture that Satan is not some slimy, disgusting, ugly
creature that we think of:
This is not what Satan looks like, even though these are some of the
kinds of drawings that you see. He is not some kind of bat looking
creature that looks wild and hairy and nasty…how many of you would
like to see something like that in your kitchen in the morning? My wife
is saying…”I do see something like that every morning in my kitchen!”
(Laughter)
So don’t marvel that Satan is transformed into…a dark, hairy, nasty
creature; no, into an angel of light. Now back in Ezekiel 28, continue on
in verse 14; does THIS sound dark and ugly?
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:
thou was upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and
down in the midst of the stones of fire.
It sounds elevated, beautiful, powerful…
You know, this is the A of the Covenant as it is believed to have looked:

There are several versions of that, but what we do know is that
regardless of how exactly it looks; those angelic creatures on top of the
Arc where the mercy seat would be are called the “covering cherubs” –
just like Satan was referred to as the “…cherub that covereth…”
Here is how people picture him today as this baphemet:

An ugly goat; but you will notice, if you see a description of a baphemet,
you read descriptions in writing and in songs, and you’ll notice that it
still has those cherub wings. Read again Ezekiel 28:15:
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created,
till iniquity was found in thee.
So there you have the perfection; he was not a nasty, mean, rebellious
creature originally…he was perfect and obedient, and he served the
Lord. And yet it says iniquity was found in him. And that is why we see
he has to be transformed into an angel of light, because it is not that he
appears dark, but that he is dark in his nature. So he makes himself
appear to be an angel of light.
A lot of people do that…they pretend to be saved, they pretend on the
outward. They do the works, but in their heart and in their minds they
do not believe the gospel, they have not been saved. This, then, relates
to what we read about Lucifer in Isaiah 14:4-5. Read with me:
That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and
say, How hath the oppressor ceased! The golden city ceased! The
LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the scepter of the
rulers.
In Isaiah 14 this time the Lord is speaking through the prophet Isaiah
and he is speaking against the king of Babylon. And again we see this
dual fulfillment; there is the immediate and future prophetic fulfillment.
Then we read in Isaiah 14:12:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How
art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
This is a reference to Lucifer. He has fallen…he has rebelled against God.
But we see that the name Lucifer means light bearer. But the new
Vatican versions REMOVE “Lucifer” from the text and replace it with
“Day Star” and “Morning Star” which are names for Jesus Christ! So in
the new versions, they have Jesus being cast out of heaven. So they are
causing confusion!
Who is “Day Star”? Isaiah 14:12
We will use the ESV as an example.
ESV: How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How
you are cut down to the ground,
*So according to the ESV, can we agree that we can identify this “Day
Star” and who has been cut down to the ground and fallen?
Well, according to 2 Peter 1:19 (KJV)
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that
ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day
dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
So according to the new versions, the Day Star, Jesus Christ has been
cast out of heaven and is fallen. That is exactly what they are teaching
in the new age and the occult…and they are teaching that in a lot of
cults too.
Who is “Morning Star”?
Let’s use the NIV.
NIV: How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,…
According to Revelation, Jesus is the morning star. Rev. 22:16 KJV:
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the
churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and
morning star.
So the NIV and ESV have the “day star” and “morning star” being cast
out of heaven and cut down. So while the NIV has the morning star
fallen from heaven in Isaiah 14:12; we are promised, in Revelation 2:26
& 28:
And he that overcometh…I will give him the morning star.
Now, if that is Satan…God is going to hand us Satan if we overcome? No
thanks. Satan wants one thing: that is for you not to be clear on who
Jesus is and understanding the gospel. It is no guess to who is behind all
of this. Yes, we could blame the seminaries and scholars, they are being
used, but the devil is behind it all. Amen.
Lucifer is transformed into an angel of light and the world is embracing
him because of the confusion being bread in these new versions. Just to
give you an example of how Lucifer is getting a face lift and how they
are making Lucifer look like a wonderful thing:

Here is a headline for you: Lucifer Instrument helps astronomers see
through darkness to most distant observable objects. They have come
up with this instrument that they use with the telescope that helps
them see into the darkness of space, and they named it Lucifer. Here is
from the report on it:

(article) A new instrument with an evil-sounding name is helping
scientists see how stars are born. Lucifer, which stands for (deep breath)
“Large Binocular Telescope Near-Infrared Utility with Camera and
Integral Field Unit for Extragalactic Research,” is a chilled instrument
attached to a telescope in Arizona.
(Greg) it is easy to see why they wanted an acronym! But why Lucifer?
They had to leave out a whole bunch of stuff to come up with that
name
(article continues) And yes, it’s named for the Devil, whose name itself
means “morning star’.
(Greg) There you go! No, it doesn’t mean “morning star”. It is “Christian
scholars” who have caused this confusion and people to believe that lie!
Lucifer does not mean “morning star”. (Chuckles) Now look at this last
paragraph of the article.
(article) Lucifer is part of the Large Binocular Telescope, which happens
to be right next to the Vatican Observatory (Laughs from group) on Mt.
Graham in Tucson. That’s right, the Vatican has an observatory in
Arizona, manned by Jesuit astronomers. Not its next-door neighbor is
named for the Devil.
(Greg) Rather fitting. I just want to show you how this distortion, in
other words Christian scholars and teachers in seminaries have helped
Lucifer be transformed into an angel of light. No one would listen to
just anybody. They got this from “Christian” scholars, and here is the
result:
“Lucifer’s identification as the Morning Star (Venus) equates him with
Lumiel, whom she regarded as the Archangel of Light,…”
~Madeline Montalban (aliases: Dolores North and Sylvia Royals), and
English ceremonial magician in the 19th century and founder of the
Order of the Morning Star.
This order of the Morning star sounds familiar because the Masonic
female branch is the order of the Eastern star. Look at that! Exactly
what Paul said two thousand years ago and it is literally coming to pass
in our day; where Lucifer is being transformed into an angel of light.
Now, I think the figure on your left would be a pretty fair
representation of what Lucifer looks like; I just have a feeling there is an
effeminate thing to him. In this day of Soddom and Gomorrah…but
there is still a fleshly beauty to him. You see those wings? That is what
we see a lot with these so called “angels” today. Effeminate, big
wings…let me tell you, they are not angels because angels are not
effeminate and don’t have wings. Biblical angels are male and don’t
have wings. You wonder why? I don’t know, ask God when you get
there (quiet laugher). That’s just the way it is. Now look at this:
“We are about to found a magazine of our own, Lucifer. Don’t allow
yourself to be frightened: it is not the devil, into which the Catholics
have falsified the name of the Morning Star, sacred to all the ancient
world, of the ‘bringer of light,’ Phosphoros, as the Romans often called
the Mother of God and Christ. And in St. John’s Revelation does it not
say, ‘I, Jesus, the morning star’?”
~Helena Blavatsky, publisher of “Lucifer” magazine in London in the
1880’s.
This was a very popular magazine, by the way, it is one that Wescott
and Hort read; producers of the Vatican versions. This is a quote in a
letter that Helena wrote to her sister. How would you like to get this
letter from you sister? She is twisting it saying that Lucifer is the
morning star which is exactly what they called Jesus…which is exactly
why we should not be using the new versions, which teach that
(“Amen” from the group). And that is the confusion that you see in the
new age.
And here we have this wonderful, beautiful…you would think this was
Gabriel or Michael…but no. That is the picture of Lucifer in new age
literature. He’s just this wonderful, beautiful cherub with his big,
beautiful wings. But you do see a little bit of unhappiness there.
Now we have things like what happened at Fatima. How many of you
have heard about Fatima? What happened at Fatima were visions that
some children had and huge crowds came and gathered and saw the
same thing. The story that you hear now is that they saw Mary, and
Mary spoke to them. The problem with that is the message from this
“Mary” is not from the Bible. The message from “Mary” had a lot to do
with the cold war and worshipping her immaculate heart among other
things.
But here is the real story that you won’t get very often. This is the
original event taken from a pro-Fatima book. This writer is an adherent
to these events. This is by John de Marchi, I.M.C.; that is a Catholic
symbol that he is approved by the Vatican.
He quotes the account from the witnesses. That was an angel of light
appearing. And what has happened since Fatima is not of God. Fatima
is being used to bring the Muslims and the Catholics together in this
thing called Chrislam, which is helping to build a one world religion for
the anti-Christ. You go to Fatima now and you will see as many Muslims,
Orthodox Christians and Protestants as you will Catholics.
Here is a picture at Fatima:
Here, during this scene, they are supposed to be seeing what they call
the Miracle of the Sun. The sun supposedly split off and danced in the
sky…again light. Not really Mary.
Here is a picture of the three, poor little kids that started the whole
thing and didn’t come to a good conclusion in their lives.
And here is how it is portrayed. You have this wonderful “Mary” with
her rosary and her immaculate heart and all that, and a big shining light
with these kids looking up at her; but that is not how it happened.
(Mike Kahler) The thing is, it never called itself Mary.
(Greg) No. They then later interpreted that it was Mary. But it was just
an angel of light…which Satan transforms himself into.
Then you have the angel of light you find in Freemasonry:
In other words, freemasonry is built as you work up the keys, and once
you finally reach the pinnacle at the top, you come to understand that
your god is Lucifer. Here is another quote from Freemasonry:
In other words, the evil people are the ones standing against Lucifer,
according to the Freemason authors. Now, your typical Freemason has
no idea about any of this…he is just a sucker. He is funding this antiChrist movement because he likes going to the lodge and hanging out
with the boys; but he will be held accountable.
Now, this guy right here…this is basically a copy of the statue of Zeus:
But if you look at the face…it’s George Washington...who was a
Freemason. And they have him in the same pose as the Baphemet. That
is located on the 2nd floor of the National Museum of Art and History.
You can go see that today. That is what they think is light. Freemason
light; Freemasons teach that you go from darkness to light. Even if you
are a born again Christian and you join a lodge, they still claim to take
you from darkness to light. The Bible says if you are in Christ, you are in
the light.
Here is Mormanism:
“…a dazzling light, and a glorious angel appeared to him…”
Basically, everybody else was stupid, and Joseph Smith was given the
truth and all of us need to convert to Mormanism. 1800 years after the
church is established, finally God comes around and gives us the truth.
Well, this is how that meeting is depicted:
First in his attic and then over here in the woods; a year later, I think.
Sometimes, he gets his accounts mixed up…sometimes it is one,
sometimes it is two, sometimes it is three. But no matter how
many…angels of light show up to tell Joseph the truth and straighten us
all out.
So, having seen all of this, I hope you see by now how dangerous it is to
look on the flesh of things and accept it because it looks like an angel of
light. How do we avoid the evil Angel of light?? It is very simple. John
8:12 read that with me:
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the
light of life.
It is that simple. If you follow the biblical Jesus Christ, you will not fall
into all of these false, Angel of light traps being set. Let’s close with
John 20:31, read that with me:
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ,
the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his
name.
Test everything by the word of God and you know that you will not be
fooled, you will not be deceived. But you had better have the word of
God, which for you English speaking people is a King James Bible. If you
speak Spanish, we have one in the back for you; any other language, let
us know and we will get one for you. But that King James Bible is the
one that hasn’t been tampered with. It is an accurate, infallible Bible for
English speaking people. And if you follow that Bible and the Jesus of
the Bible you will not be deceived by the Angel of light.
