Course, Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11. This is a popular program
for gastroenterologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses,
and other members of the endoscopy team. The course is also ideal for the
clinician who doesn’t want to spend time away from the office. The agenda will
feature presentations on upper GI disorders, IBD, pancreaticobiliary, GI practice
management, liver, and lower GI disorders. In addition, the program will feature a
special Nursing Breakout Session on Saturday afternoon.
During the joint “Duel at the Lodge” session on Saturday afternoon,
fellows from the University of Virginia will debate a timely issue then
Virginia Commonwealth University fellows will present cases that illustrate
difficult GI management issues.

Program Description
The field of gastroenterology continues to experience
an introduction of new and novel diagnostic techniques
and therapeutic options affecting numerous areas
of GI disease management and patient care. This
program is designed to explore those areas which
the gastroenterologist often faces in clinical practice
and will address management updates in a variety of
gastrointestinal and hepatic areas. During the program,
numerous topics will be explored including: Barrett’s,
GERD, gastroparesis, hepatic encephalopathy, cirrhosis,
hepatitis B, leading teams, chronic pancreatitis, anticoagulation, ERCP cannulation, practice mergers, using
social media to promote your practice, severe IBD,
biosimilars, chromoendoscopy, small bowel imaging,
polyposis syndromes, and colon polyp detection. The
structure of the program includes a mix of didactic
presentations delivered by expert faculty followed by
panel discussions with the experts. This program is
designed for gastroenterologists, primary care physicians,
nurses, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners
interested in the latest information on diagnostic GI and
state-of-the-art treatment of these illnesses.
Accreditation/CME
This activity has been planned and implemented in
accordance with the accreditation requirements and
policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint
providership of the American College of Gastroenterology,
the Virginia Gastroenterological Society, and the Old
Dominion Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and
Associates. The American College of Gastroenterology is
accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical
education for physicians.
The American College of Gastroenterology designates
this live activity for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA
Category 1 Credits™. Each physician should claim only the
credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
MOC Points
Successful completion of this CME activity, which
includes participation in the evaluation component,
enables the participant to earn up to 10.25 MOC points
in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM)
Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants
will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME
credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity
provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion
information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM
MOC points.
Nursing Credits
This educational activity has been submitted to the
Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc.
for approval. The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses
and Associates, Inc. is accredited as an approver of
continuing nursing education by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Registration
The registration fee includes admission to all sessions: continental
breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, lunch on Saturday, and refreshment
breaks. NEW! Included with your registration is complimentary access to
the course presentations via the ACG Mobile app. The app can be used to
download faculty presentations onto tablets, mobile devices, and laptops,
and provides note-taking and highlighting capabilities. Take notes at the
event and continue reviewing them when you get home. Presentations
will also be available online in PDF format. You will have access prior to
the course to download or print the slides. All registrants must pay the full
registration fee; one-day registration is not available.
Hotel Accommodations
Rooms are available at the Williamsburg Lodge and the Woodlands Hotel
and Suites. Reservations for both hotels can be made by calling 1-800261-9530 (8:30 am–5:00 pm, Eastern Time, Monday–Friday). The special
meeting rate for the 2016 ACG/VGS/ODSGNA Regional Postgraduate Course
at the Williamsburg Lodge is $190/night for a Superior Room, and $232/
night for a Deluxe Room. The special meeting rate at the Woodlands Hotel
and Suites is $142/night single/double. Taxes (10%) are not included and
there is a $2.00/room/night occupancy tax. Reservations must be made
before August 5, 2016 in order to receive the special meeting rate. Only
a certain number of rooms are available at this rate and are available on
a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for reservations received after
this date will be on a space available basis only. All reservations must be
accompanied by a first night’s room deposit for room and tax. Reservations
may be charged to VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club.
Individual deposits are refundable, provided notice of cancellation is received
by the Lodge by 5:00 pm, Eastern Time, at least three business days prior
to the reserved date of arrival. Check-in time is 4:00 pm. Check-out time
is 11:00 am. The Williamsburg Lodge is located at 310 South England
Street, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. The Woodlands Hotel and Suites is
conveniently located at the Visitor Center for Colonial Williamsburg at 105
Visitor Center Drive. Please note that there is no shuttle service between the
Woodlands Hotel and the Williamsburg Lodge.
