Who: Church youth groups When & Where: March 13‐14, 2015 in Columbus, GA Registra on and Cost: $40.00* per par cipant *Includes lodging, mission project, worship band, t‐shirt, meals. Dear Youth Leader: The One Block One Vision team is excited to invite you and your youth group* (grades 6‐12) to the 4th year of this mission project endeavor! One Block One Vision (1B1V) is a weekend retreat for youth to gather for worship, fellowship, and a full day of mission work in our community. This packet will provide you with the most up‐to‐date informa on as you prepare for your group to register. Partnership Churches for 2015: First Bap st Church First Presbyterian Church St. Mark United Methodist Church St. Paul United Methodist Church Wynnton United Methodist Church Dates and Lodging Loca ons: Friday and Saturday, March 13‐14, 2015 First Bap st gym for girls First Presbyterian Lodge for guys Mission Projects: Students and chaperones will be assigned to mission project groups on Friday night of 1B1V. On Saturday morning we will gather for breakfast then groups will pick up supplies, load vehicles, and travel to their mission sites. Our partnership churches are working now to secure sites with local agencies such as home repair, pain ng, homeless ministries, food and clothing ministries, cleaning, and landscaping. Registra on and Cost: Regular fee and registra on – $40 This cost includes lodging, four meals, mission project supplies, recrea on, program costs, and a t‐shirt. We are thankful to be able to keep the cost reasonable with the help of our partnership churches. The number you register will help us plan for meals and mission sites, so please register as soon as possible. Chaperones: Every church group is required to bring one chaperone for every six youth of each gender and each church is responsible for running background checks on all of their chaperones. These chaperones are vital in provid‐
ing supervision and leadership on and off the mission site during the weekend. Drivers must be at least twenty‐five years of age. Chaperones who can bring trucks to carry supplies are also welcome! *If you have chaperones who are skilled in a specific area (pain ng, woodworking, repair, etc.), please let us know as soon as possible so we can place them at sites appropriate to their gi s.
